Zakolev, the new guy

Well, I'm currently living down on the west coast of Florida.  I was born in Amish country, my family left that church before my time, but I was raised Mennonite.  Anyway, every summer I spent up in central-eastern Ohio with my grandparents on their farm and helped out there.  Always loved the outdoors.  Then I went to college and became a prick for a few years.  Broke out of that mold after graduating and went to law school and got my MBA as well.  I can't think of much else to say.

I'm here simply because I'm planning on hitting up the Keene area for jobs as a prelude to moving to the area.  During law school I became more and more libertarian.  Eventually, after the economic crap in '06-'08, I actually started to study economics on my own.  I somehow came across Rothbard.

I'm not sure what the Shire Society is.  However, through a combination of Tom Woods, the Survival Podcast, and who knows what else, I came across the Free State Project.  I do hope to make it to New Hampshire soon.

Welcome. We hope you'll come up here in the near future for a visit. New Hampshire is beautiful country, and Keene is a gem. What sort of work will you be seeking in the Shire?

If you want to be spontaneous, jet up here for next week's Porcupine Freedom Festival. http://porcfest.com/
Meet over 1,000 fellow libertarian-types and scout out a place to live. Bob Murphy, Joe Salerno, Doug French and other noted Austrian economists will be in attendance.

A number of folks have moved from FL to NH via the Free State Project, so you'll be in good company.

Mark

Thanks for the information on PorcFest, I should be able to visit on Saturday.  As for work, I'm not barred in New Hampshire, so I'm looking for anything to do while studying for the Bar.

Welcome.

There's at least one liberty-oriented attorney in town, Charlie Donahue.  I don't know if he's hiring, but he certainly had a big Ron Paul sign in the yard for his business.
