But only North Dakota has a way to clear financial transactions (i.e., the Bank of North Dakota). That’s a biggie since it’s unique. It connects to SWIFT and FEDWIRE that I know if. Maybe there are other connections which in an “EXIT” would become important. It also “connects” with all the sub-entities of North Dakota State government (i.e., cities and municipalities). As its own “investment bank” it doesn’t need Wall Street or the Federal Government to provide capital. This is IMHO a huge difference in its “exit ability”.
