Want to move to Keene from Chile

Hello:

I'm anarch capitalist since long time ago, but i discovered what you're doing just like a month ago. I discovered FTL at Barry Cooper's video,  then one thing lead to another… now i would love to move to Keene.

Anyway, as I'm Chilean, the Visa issue can be a problem. I did a little research and Chileans can apply to special (FTA) work Visa, so if a get a work before moving it should be relatively easy to get the visa. My ideal scenario would be to be hired in  a remote work mode, so i can prove to the embassy that i already have a job.

I founded (long time ago) a web design business (then i went to bankrupt), anyway, my point is that i'm very skilled at web projects, specially Drupal and LAMP environment. Also, since ~1 year ago i'm devoted to photography, i'm han excellent photoshop retoucher and i'm in full capacity to provide pictures for catalogs or custom projects, i have access to models, studios, and whatever is needed to provide the best quality pictures on demand. I'm also an excellent cooker, but i guest that, being far away, i just can offer it as speciality to other fields like food related photography and web projects. Finally, i worked for many years in a web based tourism agency project, so i have a profound knowledge of the field (reservations, hotels, rent a car, cruises, etc).

I'm currently learning German, and i learn very fast, so probably by the en of the year i will have a good level of german. As you can see i have no problem with English  and Spanish is my native language.

Ok, these are my skills, if you know somebody that could use my services there, please put me in contact. And of course any other advices are also appreciated.

The best witches from Chile to all of you.

Hello and welcome. It sucks that you have to jump through government hoops to cross an arbitrary line on the ground without as much risk of being forced back, but I wish you the best of luck.

Welcome. Sorry you have to deal with such government bullshit ways to get here, but it will most likely prove itself to be a great idea. Good luck with the work. Most FreeStaters, from what I have noticed, seem to be computer techs on some level.

welcome to the forums.

Welcome, Nahuel. Your skill-set is not uncommon amongst this crowd. That might mean that finding a job is harder (more competition), but it might also mean that you have a larger pool of potential colleagues if you start your own business. Starting your own business might not help you obtain a visa, though. Maybe you could meet some people through the forum, make plans to start a business together, and have them start it and hire you, then get the visa? That may be a crappy suggestion. :frowning: I hope people offer better ones.

Hola!

the earthquake was much written about in the papers, I hope that you, family, and friends are okay.

He has posted earthquake photos to his Flickr account, so it looks like at least he's okay.

Thanks for all follow up. A lot of things happen since my first post, including a lot of travel and break up with the girl I'd share the plan of moving and settle at Keene.
I'll leave the stories 2 a future where i hope to know you better and viceversa.

Few weeks ago I was on FTL talking about cannabis activism where I'm now; Chile (not Brazil). In few hours more we gonna be at the main street of the capital, I personally expect 20.000 persons (we have over 10.000 confirmed at facebook right now).

So, two questions to be in line with forum rules:
1. Where I should post the "report" of tomorrow march? (which forum)
2. Who I had to MP to change my nick (I have good reasons, and I'll explain them)

PM me, and post anything about Chile in the Outside Keene forum.  It's not really on-topic for this forum.
