Visiting Keene this coming weekend

Hello!  :slight_smile:

I live in Long Island, New York, and I had a great time at PorcFest this year!  While I don't expect to be able to move to NH any time soon, I want to come hang out with people and check out the scene.  I plan to attend the party at Ashuelot Park around 4pm Friday, and I have a hotel booked for Friday night, but I currently have no plans for Saturday, and I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for places to go, stuff to do, etc.

Hello and welcome to the forums Carolyn!

Saturdays usually has a couple things going on.  People frequently gather in central square during the 4 o'clock hour.  Saturday evenings feature Free Keene Karaoke at Yankee Lanes starting at around 8p and running to midnight followed by an after party at some outside location in the city.  What other visitors have done is simply announce a lunch gathering at one of the restaurants in town and see who shows up.

That isn't happening next weekend. 

I recommend a hike of Beech Hill in Keene.  I'll try to be at the party and mention it to you Carolyn.

I would love to be there…  we'll see if I can drag myself out of bed at 4 or 5am to start driving…  :slight_smile:
