Visiting Keene Sunday 9/8

Hey kids, Keensters, I'm traveling for work and this afternoon I'm driving from New Jersey to Hartford, CT.  It is supposed to be only an hour and a half drive from Hartford to Keene, so I'm going to make it up to hang out for a bit tonight.

Well it doesn't look like that is going to happen, I have to go straight into work this evening.  Maybe tomorrow.

Well,  I had to deal with someone's epic incompetence today.  I guess I have one more shot at it tomorrow

If you are going to come, please send a text message to Keene 411 as soon as you know you are coming with a way to get in touch with you. That way, if someone is interested, they can arrange to meet you at a local restaurant and inform others about your visit.
To send out a Keene411, send an SMS text message of no more than 140 characters to 302-41-KEENE (302-415-3363). (You may send txts to this number from any phone, regardless of whether is is signed up for Keene411.)  Please remember to sign your txts, so we know who is sending them.
Another option, if you don't have texting. Call Porc 411 and leave a voice mail. Make sure to include contact info.

Thanks, I will.  Turns out I have to stay through Monday and leave Tues.  My customer doesn't operate on Sunday so I'm planning on coming up for the whole day, maybe spend the night somewhere if I get carried away.  Might get a real early start and drive around the state a bit in the morning.

Peace!

Sunday. Awesome. There are 2 weekly events in Keene on Sunday that you might want to attend. The sign wave outside the prison on Route 101 at 4PM and Social Sundays at McCue's at 6pm. Check the calendar for details.

Groovy.  I'm an FTL listener and connected to some Keene people on FB, including Rich Paul :(  My FB name is Gary Eff.  I have seen come jobs in my line of work around NH and I think I have sent resumes off to a few in the past, but didn't receive a response.  I may just pick up and move there at some point as it is probably easier to get a job if you already live somewhere than long distance.  I must say it is hard to just pull up roots and move somewhere though.  New England is quite a bit different than Arizona, or from the Midwest where I am originally from.

Cool. You can visit him.

Cool. Did you have a NH phone number and address on the resume? Or at least leave off your out of state address? Or at least say right next to your out of state # and address that you are willing to relocate at your expense? You use https://www.facebook.com/groups/fspjobalert/ right?

Much easier. People (not FSPers but I mean just people in general) typically have moved to NH from NE, NY and NJ.

Indeed. But we make it pretty easy to move. We give lots of help and good advise. Check this out. Read the whole thread. https://www.facebook.com/FreeStateProject.org/posts/603007043075879

If you aren't sure the exact location of an event, message me several days before the event and I'll give you the address.

Nice to meet you, Gary.

Same here.  Nice place, nice people.
