Hi, there, shirefolks! I currently live in Utah and am considering the possibility of immigrating to New Hampshire. So to help me make up my mind I'm planning a 'recon' trip to NH soon. Right now it looks like I'll probably be in NH from April 6 to 13. I'd like to visit Keene, Manchester, and possibly Grafton and a few other towns as well. I'd very much like to meet with other liberty-lovers, especially fellow agorists or anyone who is interested in counter-economics or barter networks. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to seeing NH!
Looking fwd to meeting you. Keep us updated on your plans and we'll try to make your trip more fun.
Hello, how did you find this forum?
Did you see this thread? http://forum.shiresociety.com/introduce-yourself/new-here-read-this-first/
Oh, sorry, I forget to address those questions. Well, I'm here because I'm an agorist and I'm interested in possibly moving to NH. I'd really like to live near other libertarians.
A little about myself: I am married and have two small children. For a long time I was basically a paleo-conservative and gradually drifted towards libertarianism and minarchism. Finally, I came to the conclusion that all initiation of violence against other rational beings is immoral, and I therefore became an anarchist. I soon found out about voluntaryism and then agorism. As such, I was very curious when one of my voluntaryist friends told me about the FSP. Recently, Mark Warden (a "welcome wagon" volunteer with the FSP) has been helping me to organize a trip to NH. I found out about the Shire Society from the Free Keene web page, where I have posted a couple times.
Anyway, I hope that answers the questions. I'd be more than happy to discuss these or other issues at length with anyone who has further questions for me.

Here's a little more information about myself and an update on my trip to NH.
I moved a lot as a child due to my father's career in the US Air Force. We 'settled' in norther Virginia for several years before moving to London, England, where I lived during my high school years. I've also lived in Guatemala; El Paso, Texas; and a remote island in the Philippines. I currently live in Utah with my wife and two small children. I served in the Utah Army National Guard for eight years; my conversion to libertarianism—and specifically, anarchism—was one of the many reasons for why I got out. I enjoy reading (I just finished a book about ancient Chinese political philosophy), writing, target shooting (pistol and rifle), and studying history, especially military history. In the past few years I've acquired quite an interest in alternative medicine and homemade food. I enjoy making healthy treats and snacks such as homemade applesauce, trail mix, herbal tea, and fruit smoothies.
The dates for my trip have changed: I will now be arriving in NH on Wed Apr 4 and leaving on Tue Apr 10. I'm looking forward to attending a liberty meeting in Manchester on Sat Apr 7. I'm still hoping to hear from some fellow agorists or counter-economics enthusiasts in the Shire Society so we can meet up in person during my trip!

Welcome - I just moved from Vernal, Utah last year, I am now living in Rochester, NH.
There's a lot to do here esp in Manchester and Keene, but there's a Seacoast Liberty meetup on Thursday April 5th in Portsmouth. Info here: http://www.meetup.com/nhseacoastliberty/events/pwvsqyqgbhb/
Does your herbal tea interest include any of the wonderful preparations from Dr John Christopher, Naturopathic Doctor who started the School of Natural Healing in Springville, Utah? I have had a hard time finding any stores that sell the stuff around here but online works - back west a lot of health food stores carry the Dr Christopher line of herbal supplements, and my mother studied under at the school, run by his son David, to get her Master Herbalist certification.
Thanks for the info on the Portsmouth meeting! I will try to go to that.
I make my own herbal teas, but, yes, I did learn which herbs to use for what from the School of Natural Healing. I use a lot of Dr. Christopher products and make use of several of Dr. Christopher's books on a regular basis. I've had a lot of success with many of Dr. Christopher's formulas.
That's too bad that the stores back east don't sell Dr. Christopher products, but as you said, there's always the online Dr. Christopher store (and you get a discount if you've ever taken a class with the SoNH).
