Hi Everyone,
My name is Robert. I have lived in NJ almost my entire life, and I now live in PA. I have been drawn to the ideas of liberty for some time now. I started Lemonade Freedom, and I made nation wide news when I paid my property taxes in dollar bills. I am an IT Manager of a financial firm.
My wife and I have been talking about moving away from the PA, NJ area. We are seriously considering NH. However, we dont know where to look. We have 3 young children who are unschooled. We are looking for an area where we can have privacy and possibly a very small farm. I am hoping to get some recommendations on locations that fit that criteria, as well as being near active homeschooling/unschooling groups.
Robert,
Ian, Yes, I did check out the 101 Reasons Film. Awesome! I will start using Mark Warden’s site to look around for pricing in those areas. I am not sure that we can make it to Keenvention this year, but I will look into it. It really depends on how much time I can get off of work this year.
If you could give any examples of any some private, wooded areas near Keene, that would be great too. We are not looking for large farmland… Thanks!
If you don’t make Keenvention then perhaps Liberty Forum in Feb (http://nhlibertyforum.com/)
Of course you are free to visit any time and it is likely there will be some sort of event (smaller than these larger events) going on.
As Ian points out, really anyplace directly outside of Manchester, Nashua, Portsmouth, and to some extent concord will probably somewhat meet your criteria and to a large extent, no matter where you go you’ll find privacy and like minded people within reasonable distances.
We’ll leave a light on for you. :)
There’s a ton of private wooded areas just about everywhere in NH. Mark can probably do the best work at finding them for you for sale.
Thanks guys. We are talking about taking a trip there in the summer to visit the Keene area. However, if my 9 year old daughter has her way, we may make it to the Liberty Forum. She really wants to see Snowden speak. lol
Everything is wooded near Keene, and everywhere else in NH. The urban areas are the exception here.
Hi Robert,
Thank you Amy! I will look into it. We are thinking about making a trip out there sooner or later. I am thinking that it will be sometime in 2016. We are not ready to move just yet, as we have a lot going on. But we are trying to find our perfect match. I will send you an email
Robert,
