What are you looking for exactly – a job? Do you have the financial means to move to NH? I'm unfortunately not in a position to hire people, and don't anticipate being in that situation anytime soon – but if you can use a computer adeptly, I'd certainly imagine there'd be employers interested. NH is very tech heavy. I don't know what your disability is, but if you need someone around, or to assist in certain tasks, it might be that someone would be willing to help out in exchange for free or discounted housing.

Unfortunately I don't think I'm personally in a position to help at this point.

Are you looking for medical cannabis too?

thanks anyway tremendoustie. my travel arragements arent made yet.

and yes ive been looking into the situation up there, im paralized with an amputated arm, i seek relief from violent leg spasms. muscle relaxers dont work

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but perhaps you'd be better served by moving to California. Marijuana is easy to get here and there are a lot of very compassionate people and support networks for the disabled, especially in the Bay Area. I guarantee you if you are looking to also work towards freedom there is no shortage of work to be done in California.

i appreciate the advice, but i am a freedom lover, being institutionalized, and an irrational, or not im learning, fear of it happening again is what motivated me to jump off a bridge which is why im paralized. I'm not bitter, i simply have recently seen through the delusion that cops work legally and through the gov. i know im asking a lot, but i believe i am not a burden, and this situation can be used to its best advantage. i just hope someone else agrees. after all if you were unable to walk you would seek the same… to be cared for, usefull, and freedom to be where you wanted.

sorry i havent answered the question, 'why keene?' i will think about this… it is where i want to go, but some will say i need a better reason. being dependant on others am i obligated to explain myself to these slightly hypocritical people? yes, by choice, only if i seek their help. since i do not want to be cared for by ppl questioning that what i want is best… ok lets just say this, no place is perfect, but its what i want.

I'd say the first thing to do would be to try to get a job, or other solid source of income. I know you're getting at least some government money now, and I certainly don't begrudge you that, if you need it. Then, once you have enough income, you can rent a two br apartment, and post an offer for discounted or free rent, in exchange for assistance (and list the things you'd need help with).

I am very confident that if you offer free rent in exchange for help, someone will take you up on that offer. There are lots of folks in keene, it seems like, who don't want big corporate jobs, and are looking to trade their labor for a place to live.

That's just my 2c.

and a valuable and much appreciated idea it is, thank you

I agree.  Keene is a good place for that because there are so many people who are willing to sacrifice a lot to avoid getting an "in-the-system" job along with all the bureaucracy it entails.
