Soon In Keene

Hey, I'm Travis, 24. So I was thinking of moving to Manchester as I'm used to Miami and love living in the city, but the style of activism I've seen in Keene (Ridley's release Sunday) and on this site has changed my mind. I'm looking to move to Keene next week, maybe even tomorrow. I'm in Deerfield now at Little Minnesota and the internet just doesn't work for me here. I'd point out it's the government's fault, but you all already know that. I use remote desktop for a job I, thankfully, still have in Florida. I've replied to Rolling Stone's post about finding a place. But since that might take a while, I may need somewhere to crash in the meantime. I can contribute in the form of Bernanke Fun Bucks or chores. Thanks, all.

Welcome to the forums! And soon, Keene!

Cool!  Please take a look in the Housing subforum for current offers.

Lmao, this is win ;D. I don't think I'll call them FRNs ever again.

Welcome, join the discussion.

He's currently thinking about Seabrook, so don't get your hopes up.

Seabrook is fantastic for jobs (especially if you have a car), but where is the quickly growing network of liberty activists?

If you're moving to New Hampshire as a member of the FSP, then Keene really is the only choice you can make. There really seems to be very little going on elsewhere.

They're everywhere if you haven't noticed. Most of them are on this side of the state… Sorry

BTW, good move to whomever reinstated me as a forum poster, you won't be disappointed.

Can't seem to get any of them to do FIJA.

I think you were joking with that comment.  It's true though that a lot more activism happens in Keene per activist.

For example, on August 2nd in Manchester, there will be FTL outreach at the Tool concert.  Anyone in the Manchester area, I could really use your help with this

Yeah, so, moving today didn't happen, but it will. I'm spending my Friday night working. I am set on Keene though I would like to see the coast. The beach is about the only thing I'll miss from Florida, besides my friends there. Cheap cigarettes would've been missed, but the tax loophole exists here too. RYO at less than half the price as the place in downtown Keene. See you all next week, maybe Sunday.

Cool. FYI - We discovered there IS a beach in the Keene area.  It's in Otter Brook Park in Roxbury (next door to Keene).  You have to pay $1 to the state to get in, though rumors have it that one can go in the unguarded back entrance and bike in the rest of the way to avoid the charge.

There's girls in bikinis and everything.  I was shocked that there is a beach around here.

There are beaches all over NH.  Drive the back roads of NH for a couple hours in any direction and you may find a beach.  I found one near Greenfield last weekend.  Previous, I found beaches near Franklin and Northwood.  These are beaches I wasn't looking for, btw.

Of course, none of these compare to Seabrook Beach, which is free to residents, or Hampton Beach, which is walkable from much of the town but charges for parking to get the tourists.

OT, Keene even has at least one government pool, which also has free admission (although it is tax payer funded, of course).

Sweet! I'm definitely gonna check this place out. 8) There's whitewater too! As a kid I really wanted to be a whitewater rafting/kayaking guide. I'll bet they require a license to take people down the river. Never that!

I know I've said this to somebody else.  And I'm sure that Anton Lee (who lives in an adjacent town) will back me up.

If you move to Seabrook, you will find yourself saying "I live in Seabrook but I'm not a Brooker".

I'll vouch for the girls in bikinis @ Otter Brook. I was over there agin today and was pleasantly surprised at the eye candy today considering the so-so weather.
