Someone from somewhere

I'm a random voluntaryist-I don't like to use the term anarcho-capitalist for the connotations it has, and since most people have a pretty bad idea over what anarchism is and since they usually think of a bomb-throwing teenager at a G8 summit or a Noam Chomksy fan I'll stick with that term.

I'm not in Keene or even NH, and I don't know if I'll ever move over.  It depends on where life takes me.  I'm here mostly for discussion with other libertarians and because I like following the FSP.

I'm a college student (for psychology) in some incredibly crappy Midwestern state.  My university is incredibly liberal and I keep my political opinions to myself mostly out of necessity.  My release is through online discussions.  I do no formal activism, partly because I'm a pessimist, partly because I would have 0 support here, and mostly because I'm rather timid and shy in real life.  I know only very few libertarians and those I know I am not close with so my interactions with similarly-minded people are extremely limited offline.

Welcome!  If you came to this forum to follow liberty activism in the Keene area, you are in the right place.  If you want to follow the FSP, you may want to also check out this website and it's forum, http://www.freestateproject.org/

Yes, I lurk the site on occasion.

I happen to be an acquaintance of someone here, though, hence my interest.  So yes, I have followed activism in Keene, most particularly Sam Dodson's stint in jail.

Another "midwesterner"!  Glad to make your acquaintance.  I'm currently in beautiful K C MO.

Welcome to the forums. Glad to see another young-person like myself interested in liberty. Would you have any connections between your studies in psychology and the idea of liberty? I'd be interested in reading about them.
