Hi all,
I am an FSP participant who will be making the move to the Free State from southern California early next year, hopefully by the 2011 Liberty Forum, but definitely well before PorcFest. I identify as Agorist/Voluntaryist/Free-market Anarchist. I am also a FTL Amplifier. My goal as a member of the Free Keene forum in the short term is to find housing and employment in the Keene area, preferably in line with Agorist principles, but not a requirement. I am currently paying the King his royalties but I would prefer not to. I would also like to find other FSP participants from southern California who are planning to make the move around the same time that I will, with the hope that we could work together and split the cost and time of travel for our mutual benefit.
I have been a registered Libertarian party member in California since I have been old enough to vote, which was when Harry Browne was running for president on the Libertarian ticket. He as well as Ron Paul were the ones who turned me on to the ideas of liberty when I first became interested in politics. I have not done a lot of political activism here in California, mainly because there isn't a sizable contingent of libertarians in California, at least relative to the overall population. It's difficult enough to find other peaceful liberty lovers in this state, let alone find ones that are willing to organize politically. We have no shortage of warmongering Neoconservatives, unfortunately. I have since become less interested in the political side of the liberty movement and have moved towards the outside-the-system activism. Mainly I would just prefer to live my life as a free person while interacting and conducting business with other human beings without force, fraud, or coercion. I hope that is what my future in the Free State brings me and others who come seeking the same.
With any luck I will be settling in the Keene area. I currently make my living as a dental laboratory technician. I work in a dental lab making removable dentures and partials. I hope to someday have a home-based Agorist business making dentures for Free State residents at free market prices. I hope to subvert the government-enforced monopoly that the American Dental Association and its members (licensed dentists) have on the free trade of dental prosthetics. I would like to set up shop in Keene and offer my goods and services on the grey market to anyone who wants them, but especially for those who cannot afford the artificially-inflated, exorbitant prices of the monopoly. Any Agorist dentists who wish to work with me are obviously more than welcome to do so.
I would like to specially thank Ian, Mark, Dale, and the rest of the FTL crew for helping to guide me on my journey toward peace and liberty. I found the Free Talk Live podcast a little over 6 months ago and it was the catalyst that finally made me sign the FSP pledge and decide to make the move. I had been aware of the FSP since around the time that it first officially came into being, and while I thought it was a nice idea, I didn't think that it could possibly be successful. Listening to FTL made me realize just how profoundly wrong I was. It is succeeding, and if I do nothing else in my life, I will do my part to insure its continued success. Thank you, FTL.
Welcome!
W00d,
FTL played a big part in my understanding of freedom, liberty, and non-violence.
Welcome-- and I look forward to meeting you!
Yay!! Liberty Caravan 2011? 8)
Wicked cool!
Great story! I live in NorCal and will be moving to NH in the Spring of 2011. Perhaps a caravan is the way to go. Let's keep in touch.
Welcome! Enjoy the cilantro while you still can, 'cause it's priced exponentially up here.

What part of Southern California are you in? I've heard that a couple of the county chapters are meeting at least once a month and last I was there and last I heard they were fun social gatherings.
