Self Introduction

Hello all,

I’m a mid-aged voluntarist living in central california, on the coast.  As far as liberty or freedom thinking this has become an arid wasteland, with no such organizations or people near me. It had gotten to a point where I began to feel that I was shriveling up and dying inside for lack of liberty and freedom oriented people in my life, and so set out to find such.

I found few forums and no chat-rooms.  I came across a number of liberty-type radio stations but their shouting and vitriol kept turning me off and kept me moving on.  Up to this point I had avoided NH and free state project links assuming they were all minarchist groups, which get wearisome as you patiently (or impatiently) wait for them to get past their 6-month phase to voluntarism.

Then I came upon Liberty Radio Network (LRN), full of excellent hosts with excellent guests and, for me, it was like sunlight bursting through oppressive clouds.  I am continually amazed that almost everyone involved are full voluntarists (choose your like-term.)  I had no idea NH was so chock full!

So, yeah, I feel like I have found home.

Good to hear ShireDude.  The biggest thing holding me back is I’ve always lived in warm desert climates and I have no experience living in a place with lots of snow and subzero temperatures.  Obviously you survived; how was that acclimatization?

Welcome, Codrus!  I moved to the Shire from the Democratic People’s Republic of California in May of 2014, and it’s exceeded all my expectations.

Wow, that’s a great compliment for LRN.FM, thank you.  You will find multiple former California folks here in New Hampshire.  Shire Dude is one.
