Roadtrippin to NH

Hello everyone! So my wife and I will be arriving in New Hampshire on Saturday, October 24th after a 6-week honeymoon road trip from San Francisco, CA. I wrote a post on my blog about our plans to join the FSP and move to NH (you can read it here http://www.a-little-rebellion.com/…/off-to-new-hampshire-an…), and within a few hours I was flooded with friendly and welcoming messages and even a few small Bitcoin donations. I was blown away, and it made us even more excited about our decision.

I heard about the Shire Society from Ian on Free Talk Live as well as being handed a small flyer during a 2011 Ron Paul speech in San Francisco. I immediately fell in love with the concept, signed it, and combined with FSP (I signed my intent back in 2005), I knew that moving to NH had to be part of my future. I truly believe that the "voting with your feet" model of the FSP and Shire Society is the best maybe only strategy to achieving actual freedom. Philosophical revolution combined with localized action. My new bride and I are SO excited to finally get to NH.

Also, I posted this on the FSP welcome wagon but I guess it wouldn't hurt to post here as well:
-We are staying with a friend of a friend who lives in Nashua for a couple of days, and we will be looking for a relatively furnished apartment. Our plan is to use the week before November 1 to check out Nashua, Manchester, Keene, Portsmouth, etc. Any help on finding a place would be great!
-Jobs. Rachel (my wife) is a certified yoga teacher who is also interested in learning massage therapy as well. I have worked a lot of warehouse/delivery jobs but can do pretty much anything. We are not looking to work immediately, but definitely within the next few weeks after we move and get settled in.
-Advice on winter. Snow tires? What types of clothes work best? Tricks and secrets for handling the cold?

If you have any advice on any of these, please feel free to message me. We would also love to meet any and everyone who has time to get coffee or lunch or anything like that after we arrive as we check out some cities. We are currently in Florida visiting my wife’s family and some of her friends, and will be making our way north next week. With no hiccups, we will arriving in Nashua 10/24.

Thanks everybody!!

Welcome in advance and drive safe.

I heard you’re staying at Porc Manor in Winchester relatively soon after your arrival to explore the Keene area.  I’d highly recommend attending Keenevention 10/30-11/1 since you’ll be in town.

It’s a great way to meet some key activists.

I’d suggest Rachel contact Julie from Links Fitness about teaching yoga at the gym.

Snow tires? YES, you’ll need them!

What types of clothes work best? LAYERS, lots of layers!

Tricks and secrets for handling the cold? If you’re not used to the cold, and plan on being outside for any length of time, get some of those hand warmers that hunters use!
