RIP Porc 411

@error has ended the Porc 411 service, which for many years was a key way to communicate urgent messages to libertarian activists across New Hampshire by simply dialing a phone number.

In its heyday it was used multiple times per week to alert people to upcoming events, police checkpoints, police pullovers, and other urgent notices that one might want a large statewide audience to hear.

Error says he decided to close it down after it had been a whole year since someone actually called the service.

While we have more tools to reach people now, I’m not sure any of them are as effective at it as Porc 411 once was.

I heard of it once, but never knew how to use it. Getting the word out about resources is difficult.

I’m going to schedule some Cell 411 training and practice sessions coming up.
