Hi!
My husband and I have been thinking about making the move to Keene for a long time and we are closer than ever to making it happen. We have three small children and live just outside of Chicago. My husband works in IT and I'm currently an office manager for a medical practice. Our hope is that if we make the move I will be able to stay home and homeschool our children. That is not a possibility here in Illinois. We really want to be around more people who have the same values as we do and be somewhere where we can raise our children the way we want to.
This weekend we will be arriving in Keene for a week-long "vacation" to scope out the area and make our final decision. Any suggestions on where to look or a fun place to take the kids for an afternoon are welcome!
I'm really looking forward to this trip and I wish I had gotten to this forum much earlier!

I don't know if there is a families event scheduled for this weekend, but maybe they will put something together. Otherwise, kids are welcome at Social Sundays (though it is at a bar). Details at http://calendar.freekeene.com
