I'm new! Consider this my intro I've been laying low in Keene for a couple of weeks now but I'm very much here and happy. Hopefully I will get the chance to meet many of you in real life at PorcFest and/or the Social Sunday PorcFest after party. In the meantime, I'll try to figure out the best way to contribute to the forum while contending with my apprehension of public (online) speaking.
Yours in Liberty,
La Femme
Cool! Welcome!
Any chance I can convince you to volunteer at project graduation tomorrow night from 12:15a-4a?
Hey LaFemme, there are quite a few Keeniacs with campsites in the "Free Keene Zone" at PorcFest.
The FK zone is between The Last Biscuit icon and the Alt Expo icon
Come by and say hello!

@FTL_Ian: I like volunteering. And I like staying up late. So perhaps you can! Could you give me a little more info on the event/cause? I'm not familiar with it. Thanks![/quote]

A lot of FreeKeene / Keene Liberty Activists are scheduled to help at the event. I'm going to their volunteer orientation tonight at 7pm at the high school. Even though I've volunteered 4 years in a row now.

I'll be there tonight too. Join us! It's a great way to learn about what's involved.

Same here. If anyone needs a ride, let me know.
Nice Map!
I'm eating at Armadillo's about 6pm before the meeting if anyone wants to join me.
Hello, welcome to the forum! I think you will find that most liberty folks are very friendly and welcoming.Â
This sounds like a fun way to help out and meet some locals, so go ahead and count me in for the last shift (12:30-4am + some of the cleaning shift). Unfortunately I couldn't make it to the orientation last night so I'm not entirely sure where to report to as a volunteer. Any additional info on this would be super. Thanks, and see some of you tonight
The shift starts at 12:15 but I hear it gets busy checking people in so you may want to arrive a little earlier. I plan to.
You will want to pass the school parking lot and take the very next driveway on the right (this is assuming you're coming from Keene and the school's on your right). This will take you to their West parking lot and the West entrance. Go in there and you will see a bustle of activity. If the check-in area isn't obvious, just talk to someone in either an orange shirt (volunteer) or a black polo shirt (committee member) for directions.
Email her right away so she knows your name and that you're coming. She wanted people to give her a head's up for planning rather than just show up.
I think Ian is relaying my info to the organizer, but THANK YOU very much for all this info. I'll definitely get there earlier for check-in. See you soon!
I have emailed the coordinator.
Remember, you can meet the rest of us tonight in Central Sq. and then take a ride in MARV to the event at 11:45pm!

Hmmm… what's MARV?.. asked the newbie.
Sweet Christmas, that is cool! Are you meeting at 11:45 or leaving at 11:45?

They said they are leaving at 11:45 sharp, which will make us really early, so I'm not sure how it will play out. We've been meeting at Central Sq. for a nightcap at 11pm the last few nights, so I'm guessing the nightcap will happen at 11p and we'll leave around 11:45p, but it's up to Adam and Pete.
Last year we were really slow getting relieved by the 2nd shift and she said it's because they were so busy getting the 2nd shift checked-in. So it's prolly not a bad idea to get there a little early. Plus you may want to grab a bite to eat before your shift.
