Hi folks,
I am going out to Massachusetts for a week tomorrow and am planning sometime in that week to drive up to New Hampshire and check things out. I am definitely planning on stopping in Keene, since that seems to be the hub for liberty activity. Also, isn't there some tiny town somewhere (near Vermont border maybe?) that's kind of going down the "free town" path? That might be worth it to stop there, too.
Anyway, it looks like there's a social meeting Friday night, and a strategizing meeting Saturday evening. Would those be good to drop in on? Does Free Talk Live encourage people to stop in and watch the show being made (on the other side of a glass window or something)? What other things do you think I should come check out? Have a project or a group or something you built you want to show off? Something awesome and liberty-related in New Hampshire I shouldn't miss? Let me know!
Oh, and I want to make sure to do this right, so:
1. Tell us about yourself.
I am a life-long liberty-lover and long-time libertarian. I moved out to Wyoming for the Free State Wyoming. I have since reconsidered.
2. Why are you here?
Going on a trip to New Hampshire! Want it to be awesome!
3. How did you find the Shire Society?
Oh, everyone knows about the Shire Society! :) I probably first heard of it on Free Talk Live. I've also heard of it from the Ernest Hancock show, Ron Paul related forums, etc.
Welcome.

Hi Helmuth - if you let us know when you'll be in town we can set up a special lunch/dinner for you. Alternately, you can come to Social Sundays at McCue's. The social and Saturgize meetings are not open to visitors due to their location being in a private club, but we'd be happy to meet you in public. Just let us know when you'll be here.
Sorry to hear WY was a disappointment - what happened?
That sounds good Ian. Maybe Saturday in Manchester and Sunday in Keene? That way he gets to drive around and see the leaves.
Hello!
Thanks for the ideas. So, it is Saturday and I am now in Keene as we speak! I will try calling that Porcupine 411 phone number and see if I can figure anything out. There was just now a political sign-waving rally for a female candidate at the Keene square. I thought maybe I could make contact that way, if it was a liberty candidate. So I went and asked "so who is this person? Is she a liberty person, a government person, what's her deal?" "She's a Democrat, two terms" was the answer, and I reply "I don't know what that is. I don't think anyone knows what that is, actually, but I think they mostly don't know that they don't know." They just kind of ignored that and stopped talking to me.
Anyway, I am here. Hope to see some of you guys before continuing north to "see nature." I'm excited!
Welcome to Keene. Hope to see you at Social Sundays.

You seriously said something like that? That is kind of a conversation killer.
Hi,
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Ian was kind enough to set up a little lunch get-together and so we got to know several of you. It was a lot of fun. This despite not knowing anyone – just showing up out of the blue! Keene was very nice, and it was an honor to meet you. Oh, did the Peace Rally, too. Then afterwards, it was nice to hike up to Arethusa Falls as well. They're beautiful; if you haven't seen them, I can recommend the hike.
It seems like the activism is going along pretty actively. Congratulations on all your hard work and the good results you are having, and just hang in there and keep spreading the message, improving and educating yourselves, building networks, and having fun. Once again, we were impressed by your hospitality. If you are this hospitable to everyone, you are destined for great things for sure. Make it a fantastic day!
