I'm a female anarchist living in Auburn, AL which some people may recognize as home to the awesome Mises Institute. I've lived here the whole 20 years I've been alive, and I'm ready to leave. I heard about the Free State Project from Free Talk Live. It was really exciting for me, because I had been searching for a place that would have lots of libertarians or Ron Paul supporters and I wasn't having a lot of luck. Now I'm living in an apartment in Auburn and saving up to move in the spring when the lease is up.
I want to live in Keene, but apartments seem to be pretty expensive there. I'm moving alone, so maybe I'll be able to find a house that needs another roommate.
I'm hoping finding a job won't be too difficult. I have restaurant experience and I used to work in a print shop (T-shirts mostly).
I don't have internet in my apartment, so I've just been using friends and family's computers. I hope that I will be able to check back with some frequency, because I want to make some connections before moving. I'm very impressed with the support network in Keene, and it's one of my main motivations for wanting to be there. I'm looking forward to being an activist for liberty and disobeying bad laws . Thanks everyone who reads this and if you live in Keene, feel free to add me as a friend on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/ali.havens
Hello and welcome!
Apartments are expensive if you go it alone, but there are frequently rooms available for much less. Be sure to check out the Housing section of this forum.
Jobs are around, as long as you aren't too picky and are a go-getter who can make a good impression.
Cool to see other people my age trying to be a part of this. Makes me want to convince everyone I went to high school with to come with me.
