Newegg charges sales tax everywhere sales tax is collected

newegg along with many other online retailers has begun charging sales tax for every purchase, unless your locality has no sales tax.

since this is patently unconstitutional (and no, the politicians care not one wit for the constitution, except when it feeds their ego), i will no longer do business with those online retailers.

if a retailer has a physical presence in a state then the tax is warranted under the us constitution; even if i personally believe all taxes are just theft (which they are).

i think all politicians, except a few local ones perhaps because i probably know them personally and the ones here are local business owners, are basically crooks.

i started a live chat with a newegg rep and asked. that is a screenshot of what they said.

if they collect sales tax in a place they have no presence they could just keep the money, which would be fraud.
