Going to go by the name of CRASH here. Former Marine with three tours in Iraq as a Scout Sniper. The main reason I am here is because during my time in the military, I started to question a lot of what I was doing. When I got home, the Government, and the Country in general, really seemed foreign to me. I guess because of my time in the military, I was able to see what was really going on, and didn't agree with it. I guess my thought is that I fought for freedom and liberty, but where is it? I am not sure what I can contribute, but I am more than happy and willing to help. I found this organization from a friend of mine who shares the same views. Any questions, feel free to ask. If I missed something, just let me know. Thanks.
Probably should have put it in the original post, but I have been a resident in Keene for almost 20 years now. Thanks
Great intro and welcome! You aren't the only veteran here and not even the only Iraq veteran. I was in training in the Navy during Operation Desert Storm, so I wasn't actually out there and it was obviously nothing like what's going on today. You should chat up Puke. I bet you guys would have some interesting stuph to talk about.
Okay, thanks.

Welcome!
I'm from Keene too, though not a veteran. It seems like many in the people in the military become pro-liberty – perhaps because they see the baloney firsthand, and aren't as easily fooled by the propaganda the folks at home get.
I agree. I see and hear things on these news networks that I know are not true, or are clouded and misinterpreted.
Welcome!
Have you read "War is a Racket" by retired U.S. Marine Major General Smedley Darlington Butler? He questioned the reasons for what he'd been ordered to do, then tried to answer those questions after retiring. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Is_a_Racket

Yep – one of only two men to be awarded the medal of honor in each of two separate actions.

Oh, good to know!
You may want to consider meeting us in person then. Puke is former Army and he normally attends Social Sunday, 5pm at Vendetta in Central Sq. See the calendar for things-to-do: http://calendar.freekeene.com
Do you know KPD's Shane Maxfield? He was a marine sniper as well.
