Hi everybody, thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell a little about my path to liberty. I was a long time Republican, raised on Rush from the 8th grade on. Very nearly joined up with the USMC but ran into some legal trouble that prevented that. I now regret that I voted, twice, for George W. Bush, though I can't say I was terribly excited the second time, I just thought that Kerry would have been worse. Most recently I favored Ron Paul in the '08 election, but due to issues with my voter registration I was unable to vote for him in the primaries, not that it would have mattered one bit here in NC. In the general election I voted McCain with a clothespin on my nose in an attempt to keep Obama out of the White House. In early 2009 my mother presented me with Atlas Shrugged which holds the unique status of being the only book I have ever finished and immediately turned over to read again. I spent a few months examining Objectiveism before I realized the contradiction in that philosophy, namely that it insists a state is necessary, but aggression is always wrong. I have since labeled myself as an Anarchist, or an Anarco-Capitalist, though I suppose the label Voluntaryist would also apply well to my beliefs. I run a blog at http://destroythering.wordpress.com where I discuss anarchy, and how a society without government could work.
I've been looking at the Free State Project and the efforts here at Free Keene and am considering a move to NH and possibly the Keene area some time in the next year. I really like the activism I see going on here and think that what you are doing is one of the best ways to get the message of liberty out. The various projects I've seen show the violent nature of government, it's arbitrary rules, and its stubborn refusal to stick to any rules, even its own
Excellent and welcome! 8)
Welcome! ;D
Welcome to the forum. Don't worry much about the past, what matters most is what you do with the moment you have before you.

Seriously thinking about it. I have a few issues to wrap up here first.
