Just found this site durring a search for unschoolers on the nh seacoast.
We moved here from il june 2011 and have yet to find any likeminded people. We have 2 young daughters (ages 2 and 4) who we homeschool. Although at this point it is more like unschooling, whith we are interested in. So I'm looking for other unschoolers in my surrounding area… portsmouth, exeter, dover, durrum, hampton, newmarket, stratham. If there is anyone in this area I would love to hear from you
Hello and welcome!
I'm sure you'll hear from someone on the Seacoast here soon!
Are you this Liz Doucette?

If so, send a friend request to https://www.facebook.com/cchayniepublic and I'll put you in some groups. There's a lot of people here.
Yep that would be me
If you are interested in home schooling, try contacting Kate Baker. She is heavily involved in trying to move legislation toward home schooling and charter schools. She may be able to help you connect.

If you are interested in unschooling, try contacting Brett Veinotte. He has a podcast dedicated to it.

If you are a libertarian, contact me and I'll plug you in.
Well I'm not entirely familiar with libertarianism however I did a quick search and it seems to coincide well with my personal views. Maybe I should explain myself a bit more… basicly I belive that everyone should have as much freedom as possible to do feel and say anything that they want to I like the idea of of anarchy specificly however when I really start to think about it, and this happens quite often, I realize it would never work. I recognize the need for some type of government but I don't think anyone has quite figured out what that should be yet. I feel like without a government of any sort we would have rapist, theves and murderes running rampant. Which obviously would not do.
So anyways I would like to know more about it
That said my main intrest right now is homeschooling/unschooling and just giving children freedom and respect that we give to fellow adults Aside from that I'm interested in barter systems, veganism animal rights human rights parenting in a a more mindful manner and not imposing my own will on them as they are their own persons. And I guess what I'm looking for is people who have the same beliefs as my family and in my surrounding area
Any contacts are greatly apreciated
Sounds like your philosophy is a lot like most of the people I know.
I can't friend you on Facebook. You probably have it turned off. But you should try to contact Kate and Brett if you're interested in home schooling and unschooling, and if you friend me, then I can introduce you to some people who meet regularly for dinner and beer, usually at a pizza restaurant on the sea coast. You might like them.
Fwd from Honey: I would direct them to the NH Homeschooling site since there they can get on the mailing list. Regional support groups are listed:

That's what we have, now. They just get jobs as cops, soldiers, TSA agents, tax collectors, and the like.
