My introduction

Hi!

I am going by "johnnyQ" here.  I do not live in Keene, but in western MA and am very interested in interacting with others who are interested in the topic of individual "sovereignty".  I hope to one day actually speak live and in person with "practicing sovereigns" and get more information about becoming "sovereign" myself.  I have done a fair amount of "homework" over the web, but feel I need to be talking to real people at this point.  I look forward to some discussions on this website.

Thanks

Welcome Johnny! There's no magic bullet paperwork, words, or forms that can make you free of the government. They will enforce their will upon you and take your property, violently if necessary. What we can do is peacefully stand up against them, speak out, and where possible, refuse to obey their diktats.

Getting together in the same area helps too.  I hope you can make the move someday, JohnnyQ.

Very much THIS!

When I lived outside of New Hampshire, I saw a lot of the things that were happening in NH. Specifically, Ian on FTL was harping on the sovereign thing with the aid of Marc Emery. Sam did something that inspired me and Lauren's "just say No!" attitude was awesome.

I've seen some of the activists try those methods and fail. But I eventually moved here to NH and was infused with an awesome understanding that is really hard to convey in words.

Basically, while I realized these things failed, I got an understanding of what I'm really up against. The government doesn't have a magic formula for being free from their clutches. Just about everybody in the government believes that what they're doing is right and just and needed. There's no trigger in their mind for "ZOMG, They said the magic word, we must let them be free!" They have men with guns. And those men with guns are willing to point them at you to make you comply.

But no matter what they do, they can never take your ability to say "No". The cost might be far too high on this matter, or on that matter, but somewhere, it's worth the cost of saying "No".

And with the support of people in NH and the community of like-minded folks, saying "No" gets easier. I don't think it ever gets less scary, but it brings in to focus what matters. Acting according to principles of not harming your neighbor, of taking the right stance even when people think you're wrong. Of knowing that even when it's not exactly worth it, it's still making some form of impact.

I hope you find the community and kindred you're looking for here! Welcome!
