Greetings,
My name is salij and I am moving with my friend to New Hampshire tomorrow. I hope to settle in Keene, but everything has happened so quickly (we first decided to go to Keene a week ago because of the libertarian politics and liberty-loving people) that we have no plans for where to stay. We are backpackers so we can settle down on almost any spare piece of land. We fly into Portland, ME at 7AM Tuesday morning and do not know how to get to Keene from there. I checked Greyhound but it is a 16 hour bus ride and it passes through Massachusetts, which is not an option for us as we have a pistol in our luggage. I would like to ask the Free Keene community if anyone knows of a good way to get from Portland to Keene. I checked ride shares on craigslist for both the NH and ME regions, but I could not find any rides going from Portland to Keene or even anywhere close. Can anybody offer a ride (we can pay) or enlighten me on public transportation options?

1. Tell us about yourself.
I am a 20 years old female backpacker from Santa Cruz, California. I am moving to the east coast in the hopes of finding heartier people and a social environment that is more suitable for me (I.e. One that is more liberty-based). I have high hopes that New Hampshire and the people of, will prove to be a better environment for me to develop my rational faculties and exercise my liberties in.
2. Why are you here?
I am moving to New Hampshire today and I wanted to get acquainted with the Keene community. Once moving to New Hampshire, and getting settled, I hope to get involved by volunteering as an activist.
3. How did you find Free Keene?
I heard about FSP and Free Keene about a week ago from a friend who is also moving to New Hampshire.

I would be more than happy to pick you guys up. I probably wouldn't be able to get their until 12:00 noon, if that would be alright? I'll try to find a better option, but if you guys wouldn't mind hanging out in Maine for a little while, It would no problem picking you guys up. I'll talk to some of the others and see if that's the best option.

Sorry Salij, I didn't mean to leave you guys hanging. If for whatever reason your transportation arrangements fall through, it would be no problem at all to pick you guys up.
