Moving to Keene

Hello fellow free thinking individuals!!!

Because things in this country suck so bad, I've decided to move.  In Wisconsin (where I'm from), for example, taxes of every kind are going up, we are now "forced" to have auto insurance, and a state wide ban on smoking in public places (restaurants, bars, etc) has been enacted.  While these are not the only reasons to leave, they certainly are the clincher.  I'm tired of feeling like I'm on an island.  I'm sick of people simply ignoring what is going on and just taking it.  "I was thinking of quitting smoking anyways."  Lapdogism!!  Anyways, once I decided to relocate, I was like "Where?"  Then the "signs" started pointing me to NH.  New Hampshire?!?!  What the hell is there for me there?  Then I heard the Alex Jones interview with Ian Freeman.  In the interview he talked about the culture there, his views, and he was saying things that I have only heard come out of my mouth.  I was like, "I'm THERE!"  He sold me.

Soooooooo… after that little intro, I would just like to inform the forum that I'm moving to Keene in two weeks.  I plan to pull into the city on Thursday October 14th in the eveningish.  I'm excited, optimistic, sad (for leaving my friends/family), and scared (I'm shitting my pants as I write) all rolled into one.  I don't know anyone in Keene, don't have a job, or have a place to live.  I really feel that it is something I HAVE to do though.  Someone on the forum said, "just get here and worry about the logistics later."  Well that's just what I'm a gonna do.  So here I come.  I'm tired of trying to "pound" the concept of freedom into people.  Obviously I'm kidding… everyone is free to live their life as they choose, and if that means to be a ward of the state, then SO BE IT!!  There are many lessons to be learned on that path.  I, on the other hand, am done trying to convince people to be free.  I intend to LIVE with like minded people who are free and let the chips fall where they may.  Things could all come crashing down at anytime… But SO WHAT?!?  At least we can say we lived while we were here.

Live Free Or Die!!!

PS… my "permission to own a vehicle" plates expire at the end of october and I was just wondering if anyone has some advice if I should renew them before I come out.  It would cost me $160 to do so (old parking ticket to pay off before I can renew) and then I'm sure I'd have to do it AGAIN in NH at some point.  I'd love to save the money, but I'd also not like to get hassled and ticketed once November rolls around.

Take care of the parking ticket before you leave. If it's good until the end of October, you might as well wait until you register the car in NH.

Or, renew there so you don't have to register in NH.

Just don't tell any cops that you are a resident or how long you've been here.

I'm glad to hear that interview made an impression - welcome!  Make sure to check the housing and jobs sections of this forum!

Thank you for the advice!

I took care of the parking ticket and will register in WI…

Looking forward to being a part of the community soon.

See you all in a week and a half!!!
