Moving near Keene soon!

Hi guys… I just found this forum a couple weeks ago and it seems great so far. I signed up for the Free State Project a few weeks ago and think I'll be moving in this weekend to Claremont.

Rather than entering into the workforce as a cog in a machine I've decided I want to try to start out my own business despite having nearly no money whatsoever. I figure I'll just start up with something that does not have a high initial investment… so far it looks like little to no start-up money is possible for a whole lot of different businesses. And if I'm going to do that I may as well do it in New Hampshire I can participate in the Free State Project. A few years back I made a lot of money on Ebay but for one reason or another I stopped doing that and more or less regret that I did. I want that independent feeling back!

I see my role as a liberty activist as working with people involved in what I call "marketplace activism"… basically working to help people start up liberty-oriented companies and liberty-oriented products and services. You guys have been calling it agorism but that sounds pretty ugly and I'm not sure I want to call it that :stuck_out_tongue:

I might participate in civil disobedience or even a little bit of political activism, but I really think that marketplace activism will be a profoundly effective way of showing people that freedom does work and people do have the opportunities to succeed by basically ignoring the broken system we've got and simply moving on to a new one that actually works.

Welcome! ;D

Welcome

Congrats on your decision.

Awesome–it sounds like you will be a valuable addition to the movement!

Welcome Novel!

Welcome! My dad used to sell stuff on ebay regularly. He said he made about US$40K on year. Wow. Even though you quit, it would be an easy thing to pick up again.

Awesome, and welcome! I look forward to patronizing your business.
