The system of money has done more harm to the earth then anything else. People say "communism killed 100 million" or whatever and completly ignore the fact that if money never eixsted, we could be living for ever on other planets by now. How long will it take for people to wake up to this. All of you claim to be awake on here, but really, your still a slave to the system anyway. I know ill probably get 100 nasty replies anyway though. I hope a few will think about it. Go home, smoke a whole eighth all at once or something and think about how evil currency is
So, How does one build a rocket using the barter system?

Im not talking about the fucking barter system you still dont get it do you?
Barter is the same thing as money, just a different form. I'm talking about a total rejection of the concept of exchange. STill dont get it? Like i said above, smoke a whole eighth and see if you can figure it out then

Indeed.
Without exchange, there is no interaction. Everyone just sits and starves.

Well, like in my area, the city could consolidate the farming under one collective system so theirs no more buying and selling food. One thing solved. And since theres plenty of houses for everybody, that wouldn't be a problem. You wouldn't have to pay landlords/mortagages anymore. Finally, other things, like clothing, could be made in any of the numerous old factories. All the other 'consumer' products could be produced in larger areas, with almost complete automation (technology exists now)
And what happens when there's more people than food? Crop shortages happen, and with everything free, how is anyone going to know when to ration their food?

When you said there would be no exchange. If I cannot obtain food by exchange, then I will starve. As will everyone else, except the farmer. And he'll starve, too, because he won't be able to exchange for any of the materials that he needs in order to produce food.

I still dont think you get it. There wont be any more farmers (individual ones, anyway) people from the community can work 2 hours a week in the fields or somehting like that instead of having specialized farmers. From there it can make its way through to a public distribution point or something like that.
As far as the eigth thing. and you say ideas are bad if you think of them while your high-doesn't make sense either becuase you all support it

Specialization is how we are able to feed everyone. Specialization produces highly skilled workers. Highly skilled farmers produce more food. Johnny Retard out there farming two hours a week is not going to feed everyone, and then, we all starve to death.
And we support your right to use marijuana, but acknowledge the fact that it is a mind altering chemical, and will not enhance your ability to use logic.

Factories require raw materials and energy to produce anything, and even automated factories require programmers and skilled maintenance workers. How would you provide those to the factories?

Food shortages only occur locally. At a macro level, there is always plenty of food available, more than enough to feed everyone. The real problem is distribution, not supply.

Well, but of course, but without exchange, the local surplus just sits and rots, while the local shortage never gets filled.

This is true even for freely provided food that could be distributed without any exchange taking place.
