I heard of the Shire Society from people I met in NH. I stumbled across this site from Google and Facebook.

I want to meet people who believe in freedom/the NAP/anarchy/self-ownership. I want to learn about the area before I move up there in about a year.

I’m from the Prison Capital (Louisisna). I probably met a few people who are on here when I visited mostly Manchester the first week of June. I was going to stay in La and fix it and free everyone but as it turns out: 1) that is impossible and 2) I can’t deal with not knowing a single person who isn’t a statist.
I started out a political conservative, became a minarchist in about 2008, and became an anarchist in about 2011. Becoming a minarchist was quick and easy. I almost just needed someone to point it out to me. Becoming an anarchist took me awhile because I didn’t know what I was doing, and didn’t know where to look. Luckily I eventually came across some videos and articles that presented logical arguments for freedom. I’ve always been a logical and analytical person, so as soon as it was presented to me in a way that made sense that was all I needed. I’m really glad that Google messed that one up and allowed me to find those articles. But now I need to move to a less unfree place.
