Greetings and all that other good impressionmaking stuff~
I am Nogi,
a happy fun super awesome male in his mid twenties, who, upon hearing of the free state project through FTL, began looking into the possibility of moving to your fine geographic location defined by invisible lines on the ground~
So, in the interest of 'due diligence', I'm looking into various areas within New Hampshire as a possible place to lay down some roots, potentially make some friends, and of course follow the goings on of your efforts. After all, it would be silly to move across the country at the behest of a radio talk show guy without first looking into it myself. That said, I love FTL, very entertaining and informative and all that, and makes a strong case for liberty through peaceful activism and non cooperation.
Assuming things go at least partway decent, I should be in a position to move within the next year or so. Could theoretically move now, but moving across the country and arriving in NH with little more than two grand in my pocket seems like a recipe for disaster, particularly since I currently don't have any contacts there. So, to avoid missing another opportunity to move, I may as well do my part in getting acquainted with some peeps, and such. At least then I could wave and smile at peeps when I arrive, instead of arriving in obscurity XD
So yeah, give it a few years. In the mean time, I will be a passive-ish observer and stuff.
You mean you're going to make sure you have enough money before you move?
I'll notify the Manchester welcoming committee. Sorry, Keene! ;D
Welcome, Nogi.
Welcome to the forums. Hope you can make it to NH sooner than later. I'm in the same boat as you though, as needing to afford a place to live while I figure out how I'm gonna make money.
Mackler, I'm curious, has there been a problem with movers coming to NH unprepared?

A handful of folks have shown up and expected people to take care of them. They don't tend to last too long.

Yeah, I was half-joking…and half-not-joking.

Heh, of course.
It would be awfully presumptuous of me to assume that I would be spoon fed upon arrival, more so considering I am a complete stranger. XD
There is more to being an activist and reliable cohort than the mere possession of a pulse X3
I need to be able to support myself before I can support others, after all.
