Let's See

(thumbs through wallet to see what you might be interested in knowing)

New Hampshire native, Cheshire County resident for the past fifteen years, long-time lurker, brand-new poster (here).

Pet peeves: first and second amendment threats, social welfare/entitlements, and Keene Parking Enforcement vehicles parked at expired meters.

The weapons ban at the State House is what's finally ticked me off to the point of action.

Hm … what else? (There's some cool stuff in here … thumb, thumb, thumb)

Instead of kid pictures, I have pictures of my (wicked awesome) dog and my (wicked awesome) trebuchet. Don't suppose you have a castle to storm?

Apparently I'm due another free frequent-flier coffee at Brewbakers, though I haven't been there as frequently since they discontinued their plate-sized cinnamon rolls … man, those were the best!

Oh, and I'll be the one in the red hoodie on Sunday. Please say hi!

Welcome welcome welcome!

And I'm proud to be a NH native who is taking part in something as special as the liberty movement.

Man did I/we luck out that FSP chose NH

I hear that Highline.  I remember a few years ago thinking that it'd be great if all the libertarians would move to NH and bask in its great freedoms that other states (like the one of my former hometown in Salisbury, MA -border community) lost long ago and will most likely never get back.

then some guy told me that idea was already around, and it was called the Free State Project.  I am truly fortunate.  At some point I'm going to post a video of me driving from MA into NH to the theme of "east bound and down"

(for a whole 3 or 4 minutes until I passed over the border!)

I love seeing other locals start taking part  ;D. Reminds me that I'm not the only one who saw what was going on in my town and decided to help. It was the 4:20 rally that originally caught my attention. There are a lot of great people here who have great suggestions on books and videos that helped me a lot. Keep posting and asking questions. Welcome.

Agreed, I am an NH native (born and raised in Goffsotwn and Bedford) and as I have discovered and adopted liberty it was really amazing to discover to FSP, and that it chose my state, NH is an amazing state and is somewhere I really feel a free society can truly take root.
anyway, Welcome Nemi

Heh! She could, if she wasn't tucked in for the winter. We've had the best luck with frozen water balloons, full 2-liter bottles, and giant zucchini, though we have a stockpile of rocks, flammable stuffs, and an old-school iMac (inspiration here) for her re-debut in the spring. Great fun, really, though now I want a barge and a bullhorn!

Thanks to everybody! Goffstown, eh? I wore plaid (plaid!) or navy blue over there for a few years, a long time ago. Cruel and unusual punishment!

Haha, its not that bad of a place, pretty peaceful and I like it. Not as much direct activism going on as in Keene though

I've always liked Goffstown, even after the Manchester side of 114 "grew up" and became pretty unrecognizable to me, much like the Nashua side of 101A.

I'm not sure how much I'll be taking on in Keene. I have a beef with how the city's decided to "handle" parking tickets, but not much else … and I don't mind end-running the city and registering my car in a bordering town instead. My primary beef lies with the legislators in Concord, so that's where I'll be.

More power to ya :). I'd be open to helping with any demonstration or civil disobedience in Concord (it's alot closer than Keene) so feel free to contact me about that sort of stuff

Nemi's cool!  Nice to meet you this weekend.  8)

Hey, thanks! It was great to meet you all, too. Hoping I can make it this coming Sunday. If not, certainly the weekend after. Cheers!

Welcome to the forum!

That's the way I feel. I'm a Keene native (was there for 18 years), and I'm looking forward to getting back to NH.

You can imagine, given my strong pro-liberty views, how startled I was to find that the "free state movement" had chosen NH, and further startled to find that the main civil disobedience activism was going on in my home town of something like 20,000. Seriously, what are the odds of that? …

And welcome, Nemi
