Hahaha, j/k of course
quick intro:
I was very apathetic. Didn't pay much attention to the tyranny, just figured that's the way it was. Loved talking about politics and the way the world works. Needless to say I didn't under stand freedom , and like most thought people living in the "United States" thought we were free.
Was talking to a neo-con ,at one of my former jobs, about how horrible the war in Iraq was and that Bush was probably one of the worst presidents the United states has ever had. He was pretty much just a republican fan boi. Through out my time at that location I came to realize that if he was a republican than I surely was not. At one point he asked me if I was a liberal, well as apathetic as I was, was not familiar with the term. Since the word liberty seemed to me to be the root of the word I said yeah. He got a big kick out of that. I wondered what was so funny and asked "if that's where people are free and the government just leaves them alone"
That's when he informed me that I was probably a libertarian.
It was about January '09 and looking into this "libertarian" thing, I found Ron Paul's interview with John Stossel, during his presidential campaign. I was absolutely blown away. A "republican" against the war on drug's , against the war on terror, saying that not only should people be able to marry whom ever they seen fit to marry , but that government shouldn't be in marriage at all.
This was as life changing as discovering sex for some.
Since then I found Alex Jones, while making some interesting point's and providing interesting theories. I found it hard enough to get people to think that people should be really free, let alone try and convince them that big government was trying to kill every one.
Seen several "ridley reports" on you tube , and spent most of my off time watching video's from Ron Pauls campaign. Hadn't quiet grasped the full concept of the FSP, even after hearing about it a couple of times in dave's video's.
Don't remember how and a not quiet sure when… it may have been itunes, searching pod cast's with the key word "liberty". Which brought back free talk live as a result. At this point I wanted to "restore the republic" and get back to the constitution. Which in all actuality if we could get to that point (government limited by the constitution) from here some how I would be all for it. But this seems as realistic as … well … I can't think of anything that is so implausible. it's quiet obvious that there is a far higher chance of you winning the lottery.
… Where was I… oh yeah I found free talk live. This must have been in october or so, and I may have missed 1 or 2 episodes since. Since then I have told my boss, that I didn't want to work there because it was funded with theft, called my mom a statist, convinced my wife to move all the way across the country, and signed up my wife and I for the FSP as signers 9012 and 9013 I think or some where in there. Of course it wasn't as blunt as it sounds here.
So here I am thinking "oh shit in about a year and a half I have become a anarchist". Well since most of society think's of moltov cocktails I won't tell people this , maybe confuse em with "voluntarist"… nahh most people can understand libertarian.
any way… so here I am. signing up for free keene forums to meet every one. So that way when I get into town people will know me and not think I am some fed or something :Z haha had to do it!! LOL
Stuck for now in California saving as much money as fast as I can. Have a daughter due in late Sept (naming her Liberty), and really look forward to getting to NH.
On a side note most libertarians have never heard of FSP (from my experience). I have been trying to get the word out there. FSP should get some air time with Judge nap and freedom watch. Or FTL should debate Alex Jones some more!!
I violently typed this message of greetings to you!
and I violently welcome you!

Haha thanks for the welcome
Wow, man. This is the funniest/most kick ass intro I've read yet.
Your ascension towards understanding the principles of freedom/non-violence sound a lot like mine… I too quit my job.
I can't wait to meet you! Your future home and friends/family await!

The FSP has been brought up on Freedom Watch on more than one occasion:
http://freestateproject.org/content/free-state-project-discussed-freedom-watch

Personally, I think Free Talk Live is possibly the best resource the FSP has for getting the message out. I'd love to hear other ideas for getting the most advertising bang for the buck or shows to get on, like Alex Jones and Freedom Watch.
Edited to add: Be sure to go vote for Gard and Ian over here: http://freedomwatch.uservoice.com/forums/16626-freedom-watch-guest-suggestions

thanks for the links, most of the actual videos where deleted
Getting on Freedom Watch now would be even better now that's it's on TV and not just the introwebs. But yeah your right FTL is invaluable.

I caught it. Would rather hear statist get smacked down than some guy doing it with broken glass personally. 8)
congrats on your daughter, and the name chosen. I like.
As mentioned in my first post in the thread I have been working to get the word about the FSP out. which is linked to a thread about The FSP, well recently it has had an influx of FSW members signing up and posting there.
Just thought maybe some Keeniac's might want to stop by and let every one know the water's warm.
Very busy Ca gun owners thread. "Most users ever online was 3,538, 09-14-2009 at 8:42 PM."
