Kotter here?! Police lying to suspects/disobeying an officer

 Police lying to a suspect

I am concerned with all human and civil rights. I do not think at this time I am in any position to take on the entire system. I consider this issue to be at the root of a much larger problem, polices violence, civil rights violations and a host of other problems.

 Disobeying an officer

As you all should know, this gives the police, the power of law. What he say's = is law.

I see that our society indoctrinates our police into a system where lying is not only acceptable, it is encouraged. They are then given the power of law, Move on, is now the law. The Supreme Court has had many opportunities to clarify these issue and have not done so. I do not know what can be done to correct this issue. If these issues were corrected it would go a long way in protecting or citizens form civil rights violations, violence, and in extreme conditions death. The death of not only innocent civilians, but police officers as well, They are after all is said an done citizens.

It is time to take our government to task. I am here to learn if this is possible. At the present time, in the police state that has been created I do not see any way to hold the government accountable or change it.

Welcome

There are some signs of hope. People are much more aware of the issue than they were a year ago. The right to photograph police has been established in court, though you still run the risk of being assaulted if you exercise it. There are now restrictions on the federal government’s issuing military equipment to police departments. Things are by no means great, but they aren’t hopeless.

In NH, there are now more “watchdogs” that bark when things go wrong. That is definitely encouraging!
