So far, I look around Keene and see a lot of opportunity, a lot of friendly people, and a lot of nice places to go and things to do. I was told to expect less, and I expected less. I expected fewer people, I expected fewer amusements. (Maybe I'm easily amused?)
Whatever you think of Keene, I can still say the world around us could use a couple new coats of liberty. Our library is great, but corporations still have some hold on it- the internet has been censored by our federal government to appease Hollywood, and 40,000 people die every year for our collective greed and ignorance regarding insurance- countless more are unjustly and needlessly impoverished for the same reason.
Lots of un-kept promises to address, lots of room for progress. I hope, as you probably hope, that we can find as many of each other as necessary to make a case to the world to do better, to keep promises, and to make (some) legislation sane again. Either way I think it's our duty to try- I hope I came to the right place here.

Hello, did you just get here? How did you find Free Keene?
Are you coming to Social Sundays?
Welcome!
I'm glad the gov is messing with the internet. Each time they do, more and more individuals discover that the internet CANNOT be perverted, and that they DO have the power to get around anything the government tries. Wonderful educational outreach

Plus it causes technological innovation. If it weren't for copyright enforcement we'd all still be using Napster.

It's not the 90's anymore and surveillance technology has developed quite a bit:

There are ways to get around things, but most people don't know how to, and even if they do, can put themselves at risk by not understanding the limitations of the technology they're using.
