Introduction

I am an ex Spofford/Keene resident. I now reside in Southern Indiana. I am a combat veteran of Vietnam (May '66 thru Nov. '67), US Army. Graduated college with a degree in education in '71, majored in industrial arts.  I have been a college instructor (industrial arts) for five years, a LEO (read "peace" officer) for five years and carpenter/general contractor for over forty years. Am now retired. Even though I am 65, I still like rock n roll! I feel that I am young minded, but have the maturity for a person of my age. I believe that all people should be free to do as they please as long as it is legal and doesn't invade another person's space. What goes on behind closed doors is no one's business. I also feel that adults should conduct themselves as to be a role model for the younger generation. I hope to contribute to this forum with intelligent conversation and thoughts. I don't expect  everyone to agree with me, or I with him/her. I have probably gone through what most of you have experienced in your lives thus far. So, been there, done that. I believe that if you are old enough to serve in the US Armed Forces and vote at 18, you are old enough to drink. Any questions, send me an email at bubf3098@yahoo.com. Thanks!

Hello and welcome.  How did you find us?

I miss Keene and Spofford very much. I was on the internet and found the Shire Society and Free Keene. So, here I am! ( I've been in your position before with some experience with the Keene PD, back in my early 20s. It was an eye opener to say the least, but not what you would think. Anyway, I came away from it with a different outlook on things. I will embellish later. Thanks for the welcome.

Hey BLDR7, You were in College and Vietnam the same time as my Dad! He was in the Big Red 1 (Army). My Dad studied fine arts. You 2 would have had a lot to talk about if he were still alive I'm sure. Welcome to the Shire Society!

What experience did you have with the Keene PD?

Marcus,    Wish I could thank your Dad for his service. Be proud of him. The Big Red One was an awesome unit. They were down south around the Delta as I remember. I was up in the Central Highlands.
As far as my run-in with the Keene Police, it's a long story. Some other time when I have more time. It's no bigy anyway, probably boring compared to what some of you have been through with them.

Welcome to the forum, I look forward to your posts!
