Introduction for WTDean

My name is Will Dean. I discovered the Shire Society at the 2012 Free State PorcFest at Lancaster.
The ethics of hard work was ingrained into me while growing up on the Midwestern farms owned by my parents and grandparents. I volunteered to join the U.S. Army which included a tour of duty in Berlin Germany. That qualifies me for VFW membership. Several years later I pursued an Engineering Computer Information Science Degree at OSU in Columbus Ohio. I must confess that for many years I lived in NYC and worked for most of the banks that we now love to hate. By God's grace we discovered Amherst, New Hampshire. My wife Annabelle, my daughters Margaret, Katherine and I moved to Amherst in 2001. We love the New Hampshire quality of life. Our schools, church and neighbors are excellent. So why am I running for US Congress?
I am running because this is about each and every one of us. It is about the issues that we face every day that have shaken our confidence about our future. We worry about jobs. Our hard earned savings have diminished; we have retirement concerns and the dark clouds of potential tax increases loom on the horizon. All of us have anxiety about ever increasing insurance and medical costs. We need ideas that are outside of the current political box, ideas that will put this country on the path toward solvency. We must stop sending old school politicians to Washington. Simply electing a new face is neither sufficient nor acceptable. Our elected officials must have the courage to consistently choose to serve God, country and the people they represent. Having said this I humbly submit myself to be your servant in Washington by running for the 2012 U.S. House of Representatives second congressional district seat.

Welcome.

Hello.
