Independence?

A lot of americans have become dependent on certain things or programs. At least they think they are.
Just curious on what some of you are doing to break those chains and increase your independence ?

It’s too bad that so many live their lives with the age-goal of 67.5 years old. Revolving your life around a system isn’t cool. And how many of 'em get some sort of cancer at 68 ?

2 favorites of mine to help independence are heating with wood (that I harvest) and organic gardening.
I’m guessing that many in the Shire enjoy this as well ?
GMO food production and the pharmaceutical industry work together to support the plans of the controllers.
Growing your own nutrient-dense food is a revolutionary action against the controllers that you can take pride in.
If you’re able to take part in heating with wood you’re also hurting the oil industry and increasing independence when the power goes out as well. Beautiful.
Independence from electric companies (like eversource) is on my list.

A few books I might suggest: “Folks This Ain’t Normal” by Joel Salatin
"The Nourishing Homestead" by Ben Hewitt
" The Woodburner’s Companion" by Dirk Thomas
