I plan on moving to Keene, NH in 6 months. Can anyone help me with employment?

Hello, I'm Travis from West Virginia. I'm planning a move to Keene in six months after I receive my associates degree in general education. If anyone could help me out finding employment and a place to stay it would be much appreciated. I'm looking for a full time job in about anything to become financially able to get on my feet and continue my education part time in broadcast journalism. If any radio or TV stations are able to  hire me as an intern for some on the job training, I'm totally on board. But I'll be a store clerk, construction laborer; anything I can do to get on my feet once I arrive in New Hampshire. Thank you very much.

Hope to have you here soon!  I look forward to meeting you and helping you be more free.  Craigslist has jobs by the humdreds.  There are places here, that if you truly want a job, you will have one… no excuses fromthe folks who say they can't find anything…  there are plenty of jobs here and plenty of places ready for you to plug into.
Lots of folks around here (I suggest Lauren and Jim) have great places to live that are cheap and fun with lots of stuph going on there and nearby.  The best suggestion I can offer is to just get up here… the rest will happen if you are willing to take the plunge.  The hoop you have to jump through is much larger than most of us think it is.

You can find a forum for Jobs here. Craigslist and indeed.com are the two best sites for finding jobs in my opinion.

Good luck with everything! I'm glad you've chosen Keene.

Welcome! ;D

Thanks for the replies. I haven't signed on as a commited member of the Free State Project yet because I have some legal issues to deal with down here that may prevent me from moving. But if it all goes well you can expect to see me in Keene this summer. If not, I'm still gonna try to come up and visit; to see what this Free State Project is all about lol. But yes, I hope to get out of West Virginia soon. More like the Federal whore, bastard son of Virginia. Everywhere you look here there is poverty, drug addiction, complacency, and a lot of lazy ass drug addicts dependent on government handouts. I used to love my state but I have grown to hate it. So hopefully in the Free State I will be soon. Thank you all very much.

Welcome.

Sometimes it just doesn't work that way, man. I've been busting my ass for months trying to find a job. I burnt a lot of bridges in the employment field before you probably even thought of moving to Keene. On top of that, being a felon helps even less.

I work for an environmental cleanup company that does jobs all over the country. The work is mostly temporary, but it might help until you find something permanent. If you want to find out what we do go to www.eai-inc.com.

Welcome
