Hot sauce

What is your favorite?

I’m currently all about sriracha, but searching for other flavors I like.

I keep going back to Tabasco red for the bourbon barrel aged taste.

I also keep Crystal, Franks, real Sriracha, and Valentina on hand. I like to mix them together sometimes.

I need to get some more of this:

Chipotle tabasco for the win!

Dollar for dollar, Valentina hot is a great salsa picante at an unbelievable price, and actually made in Mexico.

Try ordering from Pepper Palace. Their sauce ‘The End’ is great for thrill seekers. I’m a big fan of sauces that are incredibly hot and also fruity in flavor(pineapple reaper, etc).

My local hot sauce maker, Volcanic Peppers, makes one called Orange Scorpion Ale. It’s flavor is orange and dark ale, the heat is Trinidad Moruga Scorpions. Here’s the link for it, I’ve never bought it online before so idk how far they ship/if they do.

I can’t handle the real hot stuff anymore but my favorite is Valentina - it has good flavor and I dump it on almost anything

I use a buttload of Sriracha, the stuff made in LA. I also like habanero for other uses, such as on (believe it or not) teriyaki grilled salmon. I use a lot of chipotle Tabasco when I’m at (wait for it) Chipotle. Nothing beats a good southwestern salsa on chips, though. That’s currently El Sol, because Costco stopped carrying the one I like most: Chile Products of New Mexico. I also like to have it with flour tortillas and grilled chicken.

When I lived in Texas HEB grocery stores carried a store brand of salsa in a bag. It was amazing.

I’m a big fan of Sriracha. Not only does it have a cool backstory to go with the excellent flavor, but the way it is grown/produced is with ethical practices in mind, is without copyright, does not advertise, and the creator is selecting over time for hotter peppers. If we all keep eating sriracha we’ll naturally build up a higher tolerance to heat

Are you Stephen from Ohio?

No I’m in New Hampshire.

It sounds really gay, but I like the flavor of dirty dicks.

For some reason the thought of the two common nouns came together in my head, and I recoiled in horror.

Where’s the Cholula love?

Probably haven’t had any in at least a decade. I think I tried Valentina and liked the dried chili flavor more in it.

My son likes the Cholula chipotle the best so far.

I have some Valentina regular and extra hot, but haven’t tried them yet. Just got it last night.

I also picked up some Best Yet hot sauce, distributed from Keene, NH. Also haven’t tried that.

I tried Mad Dog 357 hot sauce, and that was like eating pepper spray.

Click “Get Sauced”. They have such a shitty web site design you can’t link to it directly.

You don’t need a sauce. Just buy the fresh/dried peppers and make your own. I prefer ghost peppers for the smoky flavor. I can go up to Carolina Reapers though.

Dammit, I forgot to pick up more Sriracha. But I had to pee, so I forgot in the store…
