I’m not well versed in using online forums but here goes. I am told to do 3 things:
1. Tell us about yourself.
Born, raised and educated in socialist republic of CA but traveled all over the world. I’ve now raised my child here, she’s out of the house and I’m ready to make changes. Its crazy here on the left coast, but I love the CA weather, the blue skies/ocean air on the coast, the easy access to organic food/non-GMO food, the huge amount of excellent enlightened holistic healers and the people who support them, the emphasis on healthy living/eating… and TJ’s. But still feeling like I’m surrounded by sheeple no matter where I travel in CA or the US. Freaking out about our governor’s stance on forced vaccinations and how much Obamacare is costing me. I can’t afford to be healthy here anymore. The system caters to the sick, the ignorant and the takers. Trying hard to decide if I can do seasons and be happy and afford to live in the Keene area with my horses. Trying really really hard to figure out if I can do cold weather. I recently visited the area to scope it out. LOVED Stonewall Farm, and the Waldorf or Waldorf type educational experiences for children in the area, but was really put off by all the parking meters when we went to Lindy’s Diner, so wrong and so ugly. Love the Robin Hood group. Love the little lakes all over the place, the country roads, the constant beauty and how rural it is.
2. Why are you here?
I’m becoming a huge proponent of FSP and think its the most brilliant movement going. I can’t believe it took me so long. I’ve been looking at moving to a state where there are strong secession movements. So I’m really trying to immerse myself in everything FSP so I can see if its everything I think it is.
3. How did you find the Shire Society?
One link led to another, but interest in individual freedoms and Snowden was key. This took me to FSP which was a huge Aha! moment for me. I was wondering where people who thought like this all lived and worked.
If you don’t like parking meters you can always walk, bike, or ride your horse around town. Keene was named one of the most walkable cities in America by Walkable.org
Welcome!
