I discovered Keene a little over 24 hours ago and I am very impressed with the outstanding work that is being done out in New Hampshire in furtherance of my Liberty. Thank you!
Here in Kansas City, Missouri I am in the private practice of law defending people charged with criminal violations. I recently began to get involved in politics and have been studying libertarian thought for only about a year. I believe it is the only cure for what ails us and have committed myself to exposing libertarian principles as a means of defeating authoritarianism.
I look forward to learning from and working with you all.
Welcome to the forums!
Not sure, but it is being considered. I'm having a hard time getting a picture of the legal market there. From what I can tell it looks like there are some personal injury lawyers who have offices in Keene, and a few other firms that do business law, but I don't see anybody who does criminal defense and traffic work as a mainstay. Maybe that means there is a need?
Welcome Lance, Keene is definately a lot smaller than than KC. I've spent a lot of time in Overland Park and the KC area. Moving to Keene, serves as a really great hurdle for people's ability to shift and create the opportunities they need.
It's a college town, and there are lots of college kids doing stupid things getting harassed by police. We could really use a knowledgeable attorney to help out with a few ideas some of us are using to defend attacks from the bureaucrats.

Hey Lance, and welcome (I'm perhaps too much of a newbie to welcome anyone, but hey… )
Would you as a law practitioner have any views on the discussion in this thread?
Thx for the welcomes!
Vegard, I saw that thread but shied away. I do have a couple comments that might be relevant.
Submitted my intent to move via freestateproject.org last night. Not exactly sure when we'll be heading that way but we just listed our house for sale yesterday. Someday soon I'll get a chance to personally thank some of the people involved in last Friday's events for inspiring me to make this decision.
Thats awesome lance, glad you've signed up with FSP! I'm very new to that as well, and just got involved less than a week ago, but my wife and I decided that New Hampshire is where we need to be, so we'll be there in early May 2009. I hope to see you there!
Well, cats, the house has been sold and we've got a lease on a place just outside Keene.
I'm posting from NY right now and will make it to NH sometime in the wee morning hours.
See you soon!
Amazing.
What activism do you look forward to when you get here?
That's very exciting–congratulations on making the move!

And what a forum it is! 8)
As far as activism goes, my plan involves begging master's permission to participate "in" the system.
Wish me luck - someone will have to determine that I'm worthy… :-\

That's great. Do what you want to do and you will find support for most any activism.

Great! Nick is sad that he's the only true liberty candidate in this year's municipal elections.
