I signed up for the FSP last fall and hopefully I will be moving to Keene this summer from Lancaster, MA.
I will be finishing my degree in Graphic Design this fall and I need an internship. So, if any one can suggest a place in the Keene area I would LOVE to know about it!
I hope to make it to PorcFest, I am trying to raise the funds. Unfortunately, I am an extremely poor college student at the moment. :-\
I am planning on visiting Keene in the next couple of weeks to find work, and check out a Social Sunday. Luckily, I don't live too far from the area. I think it is just over an hours drive.
See You Soon,
Karen
Can't help you much with finding an internship. Regarding moving from Lancaster, MA to visiting PorcFest in Lancaster, NH, have you considered volunteering for four hours to avoid paying the registration fee? Email porcfestvolunteers2010@gmail.com. Social Sunday after PorcFest will be great, but if you can visit sooner (and be sure to let us know before you arrive). Welcome to the forums and hope to see you in Keene eventually!
Welcome!
There are ride-shares available to Porcfest and it's likely you could find someone to share a campsite with. (Especially as a college-age female in a movement dominated by single men.) Try porcfest2010.com's forum (alternately the FSP's forum porcfest subsection) and certainly come up for Social Sundays. The guys from Motorhome Diaries are taking people up from Keene - there's another thread here about that: http://forum.freekeene.com/index.php?topic=3248.0
Hello Karen, welcome to the forum! In regards to Porcfest, not only are ride shares are available but some people may even look to splitting a campsite to save on costs as well.
Welcome!
Thanks everyone, for the welcome!
I will definitely check out the volunteer opportunity, as well as sharing a campsite with someone. The price tag of a campsite (for the full three to four days) is the part I cannot afford. So thank you for the info on how to reduce the overall cost!
Hope to see you up there,
Karen
Also,
I am thinking the suggestion about riding up MHD group would be great idea.
I left a post on the Convoy to PorcFest 2010 facebook page (and the google map site) about three seats that are available in my car. I'll have to delete those now.
Again I really appreciate all of the help,
Karen
I probs have room on my site for a female
Coconut,
I have a couple of posts looking to share a campsite on the Free State Project Forum. I will see how they pan out first. However, I may have to take you up your offer. ;D
I will keep you posted.
Thank You,
Karen
I found someone looking to share his campsite in the FSP forums.
Everyone's suggestions were very helpful thank you!!

Oh, just deleting your comment isn't quite good enough. Had I not read this thread, i would have no idea until someone said "Why isnt the link in Mass working?"

Sovereign Curtis,
I am sorry about that!
The google map, ALL ROADS LEAD TO PORCFEST!!!, should also reflect the changes that were made. I believe you were the person that added my info to the map. If not let me know.
Again, sorry!
Thanks,
Karen
