My name is Andrew Criscione, though some of you might know me as "I bet Ludwig von Mises can get more fans than John Maynard Keynes", which is the facebook page I moderate (we have 14,000 fans, Keynes has 18,000, we're growing fast you should join!). I live in Bedford, Massachusetts - Fun fact: The people in my neighborhood were the first to fight the British on April 19, 1775. It's a small outpost of the Shire: Some houses fly the Bedford flag instead of the US flag, and my neighbor has a barbed wire fence around his property. I am done with Bedford, though: Too many statists in other parts of town. I would like to move up North. I'm thinking of the region that is currently known as Holderness, New Hampshire. I have a few friends there. One of them has a couple hundred acres and is active in local gov't, and from what he's told me it would be the perfect place for liberty to take a foothold. Less than 30 people show up to the town meetings, and with 16 people we could easily declare local sovereignty like these Maine towns did.http://maine.tenthamendmentcenter.com/2011/05/trenton-becomes-fourth-town-to-declare-food-sovereignty/ There are no building codes or zoning laws in Holderness, and you only pay property taxes on the land you've built on, so you can have a few hundred acres and barely have to pay anything. I don't think victory will come at the state level: We don't have the numbers. But it would be very easy to take a town and nullify/secede. What are we waiting for?
Welcome - we need more secessionists.
