Dear FreeKeeniacs,
I am a 21-year-old guy from Philadelphia. During the last 2 years, I have been a fundraiser for a few non-profits. I am moving to Keene this week (after about a year of consideration) in search of more freedom. I am looking forward to participating in civil disobedience with other freedom activists who share a passion for voluntaryism. I love to write, cook, and bike. My favorite activism includes filming government officials, holding signs, and speaking through megaphones. I have a youtube channel "SanieClaws" which I use to post videos with an anarcho-capitalist slant.
I am on the Free-Keene forum to introduce myself to the friendly faces behind the beautiful and important work being done to promote freedom. I want people to know I'm out there, I'm coming to Keene this week, and I'm uber-pumped to join in some activism. Whatever I can do to help. To me, working on behalf of individual liberties is the most important thing in the world.
I found Free Keene through a friend of mine (she's one of the fan-girls) who recommended FreeTalkLive years ago. I also get news from the RidleyReport, who frequently advertises for FreeKeene.
I hope you're having a splendid day. I can't wait to come meet you in person around town.

Wow, that's great news! If you like doing video work, you may want to jump right in and get involved in the new Free Keene TV which is just getting rolling. If you like to bike, you've moved to the right place - Keene is perfect for biking except when there is snow/slush on the streets.
When are you arriving and where will you be staying? ( You've seen the Housing forum, right? http://housing.freekeene.com )
Don't forget to check the calendar for upcoming events: http://calendar.freekeene.com
Also, when is your fan-girl friend coming up?
Hey Ian, thanks for the quick response – it makes me feel welcome! I LOVE doing video work, and I did camera work for a news and game show that ran on a local channel a couple years back. I also have experience editing on Final Cut Pro and using a Cannon XL1. I would jump at the opportunity to get involved with Free Keene TV.
I'm glad to hear Keene is great for biking. Filming while biking is one of my favorite ways to capture moving images.
I have seen the housing forum, yes. Thank you. I made arrangements on Craigslist to move into a room in the Tanglewood Estates, but I expect to be biking to Central Square daily, so I'll spend lots of time downtown.
Thanks for the reminder about the calendar. I can't wait to meet the good folks who attend Saturday's Peace Vigil.
My friend who introduced me to FreeTalkLive says she may come in the summer. Since she's still in school, she'll have to be content to be represented on the shrine of female listeners until she can move.

Welcome to the forum and I look forward to meeting you. Your talents could help make Keene even more known as the Liberty Media Capital of the World than it already is
A little cation about bringing a megaphone to the Peace Vigil, though. The people at the Peace Vigil tend to be nice and polite people. It is a Vigil and not an offense rally or anything. I'm sure you are a great activist and know that many people have issues with the overuse of megaphones in general and you are very careful about how you use you megaphone. So, while it is important to only carefully use the megaphone in general (especially in NH, NH is likely a much more low key place than Philly) as to not turn people against you, that would be especially true at the Vigil where even the slightest use of a megaphone may actually turn the Vigil participants against you.

Keith's suggestions about the Peace Vigil are good. It is not "our" event, and whether any liberty activists are attending varies by the week. (The FKTV camera crew was there last week.) The Sat. nite Karaoke and Social Sunday are usually packed with liberty people.
Which shriner is she?

Noted, thank you. I look forward to meeting you too! I never bring my megaphone on the first date There'll be plenty of opportunities for me to use it. I wouldn't want to incite the rage of peaceful people. I'll save my voice for Karaoke night or Sunday Social
Ian, the shriner is "Sammy."
Cool. I lived in Philly for a couple years. West Philly and then Center City. Wasn't too bad for a couple years.
