My name is Patrick; I live in Hazlet, NJ. I'm a 20 year old college student majoring in mechanical engineering.
I've been vaguely libertarian for a few years. About a year ago I read Atlas Shrugged, which sparked my interest in philosophy, and saw Free to Choose, which sparked my interest in economics. They've eating about half my free time since then (the other half of it is eaten by board/card/video/computer games). I'm a strong proponent of self-ownership. I like to think of myself as a minarchist who want to be an anarchist.
I heard about this through facebook friends. The idea of liberty loving people voluntarily moving to one place to turn it into a pocket of freedom is beautiful. I would like to visit at some point and hopefully eventually move there.
Come on up! 8)

It's tough to break that archist conditioning; James Bovard explains in Attention Deficit Democracy how people want so hard to believe in the wonderful myths.
Have you tried Spooner's No Treason or Hoppe's Democracy the God that Failed? Those worked a lot of us.
Welcome!
Welcome. Visiting is a great idea
Look forward to seeing you.
