Sorry about the short notice. I didn't think I could attend. But then decided, there was no way I could miss it. So I'm just going… Leaving my schedule open for whatever I might find or finds me.
I will be arriving in Keene around 8pm on tues. Could someone tell me if the greyhound station is near or in town? Where would be a good place to meet up with FSPers on tues. night? I will be attending porcfest and was in need of a ride from Keene to PF. I will be looking for a campsite to split with someone. Any help would be most appreciated.
I absolutely can't wait to meet with you all. Marc S, Ian, Ridley, 4409, curtis, JT, Steve B…and all that Im forgetting. It s like a liberty dream team:) It will be an honor and my pleasure. I have looked up to and respected your works for some time. You all have helped me tremendously with my under-standing. Much respect…
I have frn's, a tent, and a sincere desire for liberty. Help show me the way.
So FK, FSP what say yee. You put out the call. You are building the field of dreams. Here I come. See you tomorrow!
p.s I will be on for a few hours tonight if someone could help shed some light on my situation.
Thank you
Anyone? I see some views. A little help over here please:)
Due to the overwhelming response I have decided to go on wed.
Please excuse my initial excitement. I was in a rush and got all giddy. Going from no one to talk to about anything important. To soon to be in the company. Of some of the most knowledgeable people. Of the subject matter I find most important. Gets me all warm inside.
I was assuming porcfest would be like a folk fest. With guns. I figured there would be people in my situation. Last minute fence jumpers. That hastily decided to travel half way across the country. To hang out with some freedom luvin folk. And that it would be relatively easy to get around and meet others. Once I got there. Is this the case?
Is there a taxi service in Keene? How far is the greyhound station from the center of Keene? Would anyone have a couch to stay on or a yard I could put my tent up on? I'd hate to spend 100 bucks for a few hours at a hotel. Or have my first Keene cDis to be me sleeping on a park bench. Is there a link to a Q & A? Or a better place to ask?
Is there still openings for Marc Stevens program? Should I reserve a campsite? Are there many that want to share one?
I have never been to porcfest so I do not know.
My apologizes for such short notice.
Bus station is the virtual center of Keene. I believe there are cabs. I'm nearby, but have no car, so am not sure of my schedule, though there are always 420 celebrations, and Tuesdays we usually gather in Winchester to watch movies.
Wish I could be more helpful.
Congrats! Yes there are cabs n Keene, but it's a very walkable town.
Just a point of clarification - you do know that Porcfest is in Lancaster, not Keene, right? If you Greyhound to Keene you still have to get up to Lancaster. You may just want to go straight there.
Ian I do realize PF is in lancaster. Greyhound, as far as I know, only goes to Keene. Or should I say, the bus I'm taking goes to Keene and not Lancaster. I was hoping there would be a daily exodus to Lancaster from Keene for PF. Will getting to Lancaster be a major hurdle?
Is there a place to meet up on weds. ETA 8pm? After 12 hours on the bus, I will be in need of a beer and 420. Will there be any FKers or FSPers at the local pub? First round on me.
Thanks for responding.
I like the idea of going to Keene first and after PF. If I were to move to NH. It would be either to Keene because everything is close, and cDis. Or out in the booney's on an intentional community. Hopefully a few reps will be going to PF.
I will be moving in the next few months either to NH or to South America. As these are the only choices for me after much research. So you guys will have your work cut out for you.
I need to know why I should move to a cold place with no girls?
The cause is an easy sell. As I am compelled to stand up against bullies. No matter if they have costumes on or not. Bullies are bullies and I am the anti-bully. I don't believe you should be robbed. And will do whatever I can to stop that. I would be looking for a "crew" that felt the same way. I believe that "crew' exists in a big way in NH. I also have spent the last few years hardcore studying everything from contract, common, commercial, admiralty law. To FMOTL , CR and everything in between. So I certainly have put in the necessary due diligence. But… its cold and all dudes:/ And I don't know how far the movement can go? I mean I'm at the point where I can point out 90 percent of the bs and fraud in the system. To the letter of the law. Use their rules against them. Just to have them deny all logic and evidence. And if people like Marc Stevens can't get these psychos to stop, back down. I just don't know?? Although I can see what FSP is doing and this gives me hope.
SA on the other hand is warm all year round, has plenty of senorita's, FRN's go a lot further. And I can move far enough away and have enough land that the policia becomes almost a none factor.
Where I'm at now, I have no one to talk to about anything interesting. So the language barrier is almost moot.
Anyways this is where I'm at mentally and emotionally. I figured that PF would be the best way to see the best of what NH,FSP,FK has to offer.
Guess I will find out tomorrow:) Cant friggin wait!!!
Peace

NH vs South America, eh? I'd be curious to know what country you're thinking of.
I know there are South American countries which are significantly more pro-liberty than the US. The immediate increase in freedom is tempting … but be wary.
I read a libertarian-minded newsletter that's focused on international investments & offshore business opportunities, whose editors have been advocating expatriation from the US. One of the countries they liked most was Uruguay. It's a peaceful country, temperate climate, has relatively free markets, and a government with a long history of staying out of peoples' business. Believe it or not, their official national motto is "Freedom or Death". Sounds like a great place, right? Well, a couple years ago, Uruguay introduced a new national income tax. They'd never had one previously. Shortly afterward, the Uruguayan government rolled over to the OECD's demands, allowing foreign government bureaucrats to snoop through people's personal bank accounts. They'd had full banking privacy previously. The latest is that the people have just elected a former Communist guerilla as President. There were at least a few expats who'd moved there, but you'd better believe they're now looking at moving out.
I think the lesson is that no matter how much freedom a country has, if they don't have a core of people who understand liberty and who are willing to stand up for it, that country can turn for the worse on a dime. So I'd suggest that what matters most is not how much freedom a country has, but the direction in which it's headed.
It's not just the US, but most countries around the world are moving in the WRONG direction. New Hampshire is moving in the RIGHT direction.
