Hello,
I'm Kallen from Philadelphia. I've lived there most of the time… up to the end of high school and then started a bit touring around the world. I heard about the Free State Project through Ron Paul and Alex Jones. I was aware of it for quite some time and even registered to commit. However, it felt off my radar due to many distractions and now I am making it priority again in my life.
It would be great to be among like minded people. I am looking forward to this experience. I don't know if I will be able to attend this year's Porcfest but I will do my best to be in attendance.
I am excited about coming to Keene. I'll give it a 3 month trial (as I do other new cities) and see how I'm feeling about it afterwards.
I really love the alternative media (radio/TV) and non-profit field. And I'm hoping to work in those field(s) when I'm there in Keene. I plan on coming there in late June (probably after June 20).
Sounds great, Kallen. See you soon!
Hey Kallen,
I just moved from Philadelphia a couple weeks ago. It's very different, but I've loved Keene so far. Looking forward to meeting you.
Peace.

PorcFest starts June 20th! If you make it up then, you should come to PorcFest. Few Keeniacs will be in Keene from 6/20 - 6/26

So true! Didn't a visitor come up during Porcfest last year and wonder where the heck everyone was? Dude! You visited Keene during Porcfest. Porcfest is like week-long Christmas for free-staters. Free-staters who miss Porcfest are shunned from polite society.
Okay, not really. But it's crazy fun!
Welcome!

Yea…I really would like to be in attendance for Porcfest but it all depends on when is the last day of my contract post in Los Angeles.

Excellent! I look forward to meeting you. And remember, there are around a dozen cities in NH so if you give all of the cities a try, that could takes years alone. And if you go by population, Keene is only the 24th most populated municipality in NH or so and if keeps dropping down the list (as the population grows very slowly compared to many parts of NH) so you may be here for many years, just checking NH out
[/quote]
24th? Can you cite your source on that? Last I checked it was 7th.

Thank you. It looks like Keene is 11th and will likely become 12th in a few years. Either way, it is much closer to your number than mine, http://www.nashuatelegraph.com/news/913219-196/2010-census-shows-little-change-in-nashuas.html
Maybe you got your figures based on NH cities as Keene seems to be the 6th most populated city in NH behind Manchester, Nashua, Concord, Rochester and Dover. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_and_towns_in_New_Hampshire
For those reading this, a city in NH doesn't necessarily mean the population is larger. A city is just a political classification meaning that the voters have little direct control over management and funding. Well, it actually, legally deals with the existence of a city council, among other things; though, I think my definition is both easier to understand and is factually correct.
Maybe I was thinking of Berlin or something, huh…
Ahh yes, I think I did. Thanks!

Yea…I'm looking forward to meeting you, Ian, and the rest of the crew. Don't think I'll be staying in every city in NH for 3 months…lol…(that's a lot). But I agree I may end up being here longer than I anticipate (we'll see what happens). The focus, first and foremost, is Keene but I do want to see Manchester, Nashua, Concord. And maybe Derry and/or Dover too.
I recommend Keene, it is a nice place to live. 8)
Keene has a weak hip-hop scene.

Yeah, you heard me right, D.
Keene's weak on any "scene", but that's just a market opportunity!
