Hey everyone!
My name is Ricky I'm from the small mountain town of North Bend, WA which is about 25-30 miles east from Seattle. I'm a 23 year old guy who was born and raised in King County pretty much all my life. I'm currently a scheduler for radiology and outpatient exams at a hospital out here. I play the piano and majored in music back at Bellevue College for over 2 years. I will be finishing a certificate program at the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program in Seattle in 2012, and I hope to compose music for video games one day (MA has a pretty decent video game hub…but I rather hang myself then move there). I have a great boyfriend who will be going to nursing school in New Mexico. He was a medic in the Iraq War for over 6 years, and I'm trying to convert him towards my libertarian leading principles…which he's becoming fairly receptive too (at least he humors me into thinking he is…it's a work in progress). And I think Keene, NH may be where we may want to live one day…hopefully sooner than later.
I learned about Free Keene through the Free State Project after reading a post from the Ron Paul Forums. I'm not strictly a minarchist nor do I consider myself an anarcho-capitalist, but the less government, the better! I really want to be involved in more education and volunteering opportunities that come my way in order to influence change. I'm currently reading Economics in One Lesson at work during my downtime and hoping to register for some online courses at mises.org to help better prepare myself for such a role. I'd especially like to help influence those on college campuses since I feel like that's more of my audience. I really want to be part of a culture that proves itself unreliable on government and embraces the voluntary functions of society over the coercive functions of the State.
Hope to get to know some of you and maybe if I come up there this summer I'll get to meet some of you.

Welcome. If you have a hard time putting down Economics in One Lesson, Robert Murphy's Lessons for the Young Economist is an excellent book as well.
