Guy from NJ here. My wife & I are looking to move to NH in the Spring, as part of the free state project. I'm 49, she is a few yrs younger. Both college grads. No kids, we do have a blind toy poodle and two small birds (cockatiels). I have never been a big risk taker, so this whole proposition is pretty daunting - coming up without jobs (or health care), finding a place to live, etc. We are figuring on renting a place in the Manchester area, and if things work out buy a place after that. We should be able to purchase a home with cash, and we have alot of savings on top of that. So most folks are saying I shouldn't be so worried.
welcome to the forums, can not wait to welcome you to nh soon. ;D
Welcome. How did you find the Shire?
Hi. I found through the Free State Project Forums. Looking forward to moving up to NH, although I am very stressed about it. Never left a job without having one, etc. Not to mention health care - when I was 25 I didn't think about that (now I'm 49). Same with my wife.
My wife & I and coming up for a look around on President's Day weekend. Staying in Manchester area ( maybe the Econo lodge). Hope to meet with a few Free Staters.
