Hi I'm LJ from FL. and plotting my escape to the Granite State. This is a dream I've had for quite a while, years, and life keeps getting in my way. For several years, legally, my kids could not be moved from the state but now my youngest has turned eighteen so I am now free to move about the country. My son would move with me though he is not entirely sold on the move. I am considering our taking a trip in February so he can experience winter and we can attend the Liberty Foum. I grew up in NH and have family and many friends there so I can't wait to come home.
My current challenge is to sell my home in a very down market. I am willing to take somewhat of a hit but it will be my starting over money so I need to realize some positive cashflow. I hope to put it on the market in January and see what happens. My son graduates in May. Once the house sells ( big LOL) there should be no more hurdles or excuses.
Having been involved in liberty activism for about six years I know I will be happy to be back in NH and thrilled to be home again. I found out about your forum in a post at the FSP forum.
Welcome! I am also from FL. Actually, a surprising number of us are. Where are you down there?
Nearby where they shoot them rockets up about an hour east of Mickey. :)
Not only do we have a lot of Floridians, we have a lot of folks from warm climates including myself (Las Vegas). Not sure I can help in Florida but happy to talk real estate in general with you. Happy to arrange some things with you if you come out in Feb. We look forward to welcoming you home.
Ideally, I would relocate to Sullivan County where I have ties. Also, as an RN, its close to Lebanon and a concentrated area of job opportunities. ( though it still seems odd that Hitchcock is no longer in Hanover) I've been away too long.
