Hello!
My name is Nick. I enjoy long walks on the beach, reading, and liberty. =) My wife and I live in the People's Republic of Kalifornia and we're desperate for some freedom and looking to FSP in the next 2-5 years.
To that end, I'll be visiting NH Weds and Thursday this week before I head down to Boston for business. I've already got wednesday lined up for a trip to Dover from Manch, but I would love to visit Keene on Thursday.
JJ has graciously offered me his couch, so I'm good on where to stay Thursday night, but am desperately in need of figuring out how to get to Keene from Manch/Dover either late Wednesday or early Thursday. I'll also need to figure out how to get back to Manch early Friday morning to catch a bus to Boston. Any suggestions/assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Nick
Since it is coming up fast, and email can be slow, I can be reached at 480-235-1599.
I think Keith and Rich offer rides for cash.
Great! How do I get in touch with them?
I might be able to drive you from Manch to Keene. All i would ask for is cash for gas money and i can get you there
How was your visit around NH?
Haha, yeah Curtis figured it out… my trip is happening this week (as in 3 days from now).
Still looking for things to do in Keene… any ideas? Also I'm still trying to figure out a ride to keene from Manch for Thursday morning and a trip back Friday morning.
Thanks!

One thing you should do is check out the colonial theatre:

Apparently "Men who stare at goats" is playing there now. No live events for the couple of days you're in Keene, unfortunately.
Say hi to my old friends at the stage restaurant (although I'm not sure how many are still there)
Welcome! ;D
Hey Nick, welcome to the forum!
I suggest hiking up Beech Hill in Keene, it has ok views of the city. I can lead you up there if you want, the entire hike is less than an hour. Walking downtown is also a great idea.

[/quote]I would enjoy getting in on something like that, while the weather still permits. If you don't mind being slowed somewhat by my "diabetes feeties," give me a call.
Otherwise, Nick, my idea of a good time is to hang out in a library, so I don't know if I'm the one to ask about events in Keene . . .

Nothing unusual. I miss days a lot, for some reason. When asked why, I just like to say I make my own weeks. ^-^

The more the better. Gary just got in town today. Maybe he will want to hike on Thursday?

Some of us are meeting up at Pedraza's Mexican Restaurant for dinner at 6 pm. All are encouraged to come. Hopefully Nick and another out of state visitor will be there.

Hey guys, I posted the above to the FSP forums regarding my trip last week to NH. I focused on what I learned from trip that could relate to improving recruiting so it's definitely biased towards that. Anyway, thanks to all the awesome people that came out to hang out with me at dinner and Abunara. You guys rock and I'm extremely excited to bring my wife back out for porc fest. I'm gonna do my best to get 3 other couples (bro in law, sis and law, and my cousin) to come out as well!
Thanks!
Nick
